About Aut

She's a pretty independent, well trained bird and family dog. She'd never be a problem, except now that she's older she is pretty persistent for begging, but another than that she's amazing and the best bird dog I've ever seen... truly that's not a biased statement and you can believe me or anyone that's hunted with her. Also I wanted my dog to be a better bird dog than her because she's my dad's dog, but my dog did prove to be the better family dog though, so I have that on him.

  • Sex: Female
  • Age: 13 years, 5 mo. old
  • Weight: 78lbs
  • Breed: German Wirehaired Pointer
  • Tracking Chip: No
  • Spayed: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
  • Gets along with children: Yes
Same ideas as the getting along with other dogs because little kids like to get in dogs face and grab their head which is dangerous to let any kid do because no dog likes, so if a little kid is bugging her she'll just separate herself from them.
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
She doesn't exactly get along well with other dogs, but she's well trained so if there's a dog around and she doesn't want to be around it she'll separate herself from the dog and go to her room, so she wouldn't be a problem. So in away she gets along with other dogs, but her way of getting along might just be not being around the other dog. Also when I move to Caldwell sometime before/around February she'll stay at my dad's house since she's a family dog.
  • Gets along with cats: No

About Astrid

  • Sex: Female
  • Age: 2 years, 7 mo. old
  • Weight: 14lbs
  • Breed: German Wirehaired Pointer
  • Tracking Chip: Unknown
  • Spayed: Unknown
  • House Trained: Yes
She actually is pretty housed trained, but hasn't quite figured out the doggy door yet which is fine because since she's a pup I feel like it's better if we take her out. The only problem is she hasn't quite figured out how to let us know she needs to go potty, so we just have to take her out every hour or two.
  • Gets along with children: Yes
    Like I said she's a pup so she's still a baby herself
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
She's a puppy so all she does is want to play
  • Gets along with cats: No
I'd assume she wouldn't be good with cats because it's hard for her kind of breed to be, but also I feel like since she's still young if she was introduced or around cats more she'd be fine with them, but we don't have cats.
