I have 20+ years of pet sitting experience, including my own biz. I can include all of your pets in an adjusted flat rate (including walks). I have experience with senior dogs & those requiring special care, supplements/meds or injections. I am very experienced & I take your animals/home care seriously. As a current pet business owner, a former homeowner and former dog & cat parent, I know how to love & care for your furries! I have excellent local references I can provide as well. I consider myself a professional pet sitter because I have decades of pet sitting experience. I began house sitting as a hobby in college and over the years it has grown into a true passion and a rewarding business. I truly enjoy caring for animals and providing them with a positive experience. I believe that all animals deserve to be adored and treated well. Because house sitting & pet sitting is a very personal service, I feel you should know some personal details about me as well: I have been around animals most of my life beginning with two Norwegian Elkhounds we had when I was a child. I have had a couple of awesome cats, fish, a hamster and a sugar glider in the past. I had a little Miniature Pinscher named Jiminey Cricket for ten years until recently. He was the love of my life. I was born in Dallas, Texas but I spent most of my life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I moved here to Austin in 2013 because I love the nature of this great city! I have an identical twin sister and 6 younger siblings. Some of my other interests include running, skiing, photography, writing, reading, music, dancing, traveling and cooking. I have spent a majority of my career as an executive assistant. In recent years I have been working for myself in various endeavors. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology & English and thanks to the pandemic I recently completed a graduate program at Texas A&M which will allow me to pursue my core passion - psychology and helping others. What you see is what you get. The exception is cats - cats are interesting and amusing and in some cases mysterious. Ha! But I have owned both a cat and a dog and I will again someday! My experience administering medication: Yes, I am comfortable administering meds! I know all the tricks for pills - cheese, hot dog, peanut butter, gravy, pill pockets... I have also given insulin injections. Dogs are much better with pill taking than cats are, in my experience.
