Hi! My name is Yuqing (pronounced yu-ching). I moved to New York City after getting my masters from University of Pennsylvania and I now work as an architect. I now live in Downtown Brooklyn. I grew up with two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Shetland Sheepdog(Sheltie). We got them as puppies in 2002 and raised them to be a healthy and beautiful pair. We lost Harry (the Golden boy) to cancer in 2015, and Lisa passed away peacefully at 15 years old. That being said, I have many years of experience in dog care. I am confident that I will meet you and your dog's needs. Since becoming a sitter on Rover, I have gotten two fur babies myself-an adult cat and a kitten, who are both rescues. Therefore, cats are absolutely welcome as well! I had also taken care of a senior cat and fostered several kittens before. Having two cats myself, I will sadly not be able to accept any boarding or daycare requests anymore. But I am more than happy to walk your puppy friends and check in on your cats or dogs for you! :)

Yuqing sent me many photos and some videos of my cat Broadway when I was away for 2 weeks, and I felt very reassured the entire I left him with her ! He enjoys human company but can be quite boisterous but Yuqing got along with him and understood him so well! I’m definitely reaching out to her whenever I go out of town again.
Yuqing was wonderful! She watched my cat while I was on vacation for a week and she followed all instructions. She sent plenty of pictures/videos while I was away which was great. I will use her for future visits :)
We asked Yuqing to visit our two cats for a few days. We are very happy. All was clean, the cats were not stressed when we came back. We had photographs every day. Just perfect.

Keep in mind that while some dogs adjusts to being with a stranger quickly, others might behave differently when their owners are not around. Please talk to previous sitters or family and friends who have taken care of your dog about how she/he behaves, and share those details with me! :)
A typical day
For cats, I will do my best to keep them entertained during my visit, such as playing with them with their toys. For dogs, I will take your dogs for walks in neighborhoods you prefer and keep them safe and entertained at all times.

I work full time during the week, so I am available in the evenings and the weekends. At least one week’s notice for bookings is greatly appreciated.
