1 dog at a time w/ backyard

Pet care experience

📣 Check out the photos and videos of how we do with boarding on @you.see.berkeley! Unlike other daycare or boarding places, we only take 1 dog at a time to take care of your specific needs. We may be open to taking 2 dogs if they are from the same household. We have taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages. We have one dog at our place, a four-year-old male Golden Retriever named Berkeley (we met in Cal and he's our first son! GO BEARS). He is fixed and loves hanging out with other dogs. He is sweet and cuddly, and also mid/high level of energy. He loves going on long walks and trails. He is good at matching the energy and needs of other dogs. For example, if he's around a senior dog, he will respect him/her lack of desire to play. He will be the most excited and sad to see your dog come and go! When you are picking up your pup after the boarding, make sure to check out our window. Berkeley would be seeing you off 👋🏻 We are married and both working from home. We both work in tech. We love taking care of dogs. We can be flexible with our schedules. We update our calendar regularly to reflect our availability. 🐾What to Expect from Us - Before boarding For the first time client, we require a meet & greet. We will meet at a neutral territory to carefully evaluate how the pups behave around each other. We may ask for additional questions before scheduling a meet & greet such as your fur baby’s routine and any past boarding experience. The details about your fur baby’s routine is especially important if it’s their first time boarding with us. We want to make sure that we keep a similar routine for your fur baby's comfort. Dogs thrive on routines, and a routine will let your dog know what to expect each day and when to expect it. With this reason, we don't accept grazers as we believe that scheduled feeding is a critical indicator to a dog's wellbeing through their potty health. Once both parties determine to be a good match, we follow Rover process to finalize the booking. A reminder will be sent 24 hours before the boarding. Please feel free to message us on Rover throughout for any questions. - During boarding Throughout boarding, we will send check-ins and photos/videos, so you know exactly how they are doing. Expect minimum 2 updates a day from us! As dog parents ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to be away from your dog. We closely observe your pup’s social/emotional, cognitive, and physical aspects. The usual routine for potty break looks like: - 6-7 am: first morning potty break & play time in the backyard - 10-11 am: quick potty break or long walk/hike - 3-4 pm: quick potty break or long walk/hike - 8-9 pm: final potty break We have a fenced yard and our fully trained dog Berkeley will keep your dog a company. Inside the house, we also have baby/pup gates in case we need to limit the space for safety. - After boarding We will send a reminder and reconfirm the pickup time whether there’s any changes on your end. If any changes, we would need to update the details on Rover. When picking up your pup, make sure to give a glance at our window. Berkeley would be seeing you off :) Sometimes with his toys, too. Hope our service was satisfactory and we look forward to seeing you again <3

Iggy’s longest time away from home and I am so glad she was with Yunhee and Kevin. I know she is in excellent hands with them and has a playmate in Berkeley. The consistent updates were so helpful to me. Thank you so much, Yunhee and Kevin!!

This is our second time with Yunhee and Kevin but first time boarding. Our dog isn’t used to being away from us, but Yunhee and Kevin were so wonderful in helping her through her nervousness and keeping me updated. I know it was extra work for them, and they handled it with kindness and patience while also teaching Iggy some independence. We will definitely have Iggy stay with them again! Thank you Yunhee, Kevin and Berkeley!

⭐Places We May Go Together⭐ Our number one goal with our own dog is to get him enough exercise and entertainment. We have a golden retriever son who has high energy, so we are used to making our canine clients tired at the end of the day with full of happiness. However, if our canine client is senior, we can tailor our approach to walks and plays. Our favorite places to exercise and explore together: -Skyline Trail, Redwood Regional Park: off-leash hiking, beautiful wide trail -Leona Heights Park: on-leash trail / a bit of climbing required -Joaquin Miller Park: off-leash & on-leash trail We both work from home and we can be flexible with our schedules. We update our calendar regularly to reflect our availability. The usual routine for potty break looks like: - 6-7 am: first morning potty break & play time in the backyard - 10-11 am: quick potty break or long walk/hike - 3-4 pm: quick potty break or long walk/hike - 8-9 pm: final potty break In-between these times, we can play with your dog, or our dog, Berkeley, can always entertain your dog :) Please feel free to message us for any inquiry or suggestion!
