Pet care experience
Above all, what inspired me to become a dog sitter is the chance to make every pup feel happy and loved! I’ve had a passion for taking care of animals for a long time, and know that there’s simply nothing better than getting to see the smile on a dog’s face when they know that they’re safe and happy. I just simply love taking care of dogs, as they have definitely inspired me with their selfless, giving spirit. It’s just always a treat to make them feel at home. Although I’ll be the primary caretaker, my house is full of friends! I live with my daughter and her family, and they are all huge dog lovers. They love to have new friends over and can’t wait for the chance to play with a pup. My daughter has two older children who absolutely adore dogs, so there will never be a shortage of love and energy to go around. We also live with two Affenpinschers named Gem and Jewel, and they are the friendliest pups in the world. No matter what, your pup will always have someone around to hang out and have a good time with. I myself have had a long history of taking care of dogs as well. I’ve been a dog owner ever since I was very young, and have tons of different kinds of animals. During that time, I’ve taken care of pups will all sorts of different needs, so I have experience in training and medication administration as well. When I lived in Oklahoma, I volunteered at a local pet shop, which was such a great experience! I was trained to wash, clean, and prep dogs for the groomer, and it was always so much fun getting to spend time with the different pups that came by. Now, I’m just dedicated to my family and your pups! I know how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend, so it’s always my priority to provide great communication during a stay. That way, the time apart isn’t too unbearable, and you can always make sure that your pooch is in tip-top shape. I like to send regular updates with accompanying pics, so you can see just how much fun your pup and I are having together! Likewise, I’ll always be open and available in case any questions or concerns arise. Don’t hesitate to reach out for any reason!

We really appreciated Yolanda’s excellent care of our small dog and our cat. Yolanda had great communication from the very beginning and she was very punctual. She is very kind and a true animal lover. Our house and pets were in good hands. I’ll definitely ask her to pet sit again!

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
When your pup is with me, they’ll be treated just as if they were at home! I always like to learn what your pup’s routines and regimens are at home, as dogs are most comfortable when they are in a familiar setting. After all, dogs are creatures of habit! I’m happy to follow their schedules and let them guide the way so that they feel right at home with me. That means we can definitely go for walks at any point or just lounge around together enjoying each other’s company. My home is perfect for either! I live in a condo with a large porch that’s fenced-in and perfect for sunbathing. There are tons of great areas to run around in nearby and the area is very safe as well. We’ll have no shortage of great things to do!
