Pet care experience
I have always had a great bond and intuition with animals and tried to have it in my career path to work with animals but I realized that I enjoy them more when it is a part time job that I do not need to survive but instead do for pleasure. I have worked for Dakin Humane society for 4 years as an animal care specialist and did a variety of tasks including giving medication and vaccinations. I have a good amount of knowledge of care and well being for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds and other small animals. I greatly enjoy dogs because I am an exercise enthusiast and most of them are too. I want the owners of the pup to be comfortable and know that their beloved pet is well taken care of so I provide lots of pictures and updates daily as desired. If you prefer to get 1 update a day, I am ok with that or if you would like the play by play, I am happy with that as well. I am not currently taking pets into my home but I am available for drop ins, dog walks and in home stay and I am due to have a little girl in October. Exercise is very important to me and I enjoy meeting and bonding with animals of all kinds! Thank you for reading about me, I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby.

Yevi cared for my 3 years old pup for a long weekend. She was wonderful with asking questions, sending pictures and sending updates. My dog is very anxious and she seemed to handle his anxiety well and took him on extra walks to keep him happy!
Yevi took care of my 2.5 year old German Shepherd who can be a bit of work sometimes and skittish in some situations. Shes also slow to warm up to strangers but she approached dakotas personality very well. She had dakota at the park or by water everyday. Dakota loves to swim and I know she had a great time. Got photo updates everyday. It was very easy to relax on vacation knowing my world at home was being taken care of. Definitely will use again and recommend to anyone!
We had Yevi sit for our 6 1/2 year old lab for three nights. She took great care of him. She brought him hiking and swimming twice, and made sure he had plenty of love. She worked on some training with him and even bought him a new toy. We would definitely use her again.
I have hired Jane Ostro on multiple occasions to stay at our house to sit for our dog, Cooper, sometimes for as long as seven days at a time, and we are so pleased with the service she provides. I highly recommend Jane as a pet sitter. She is so loving and kind to our dog, that he has little to no stress when we leave for vacation. He is so happy to see her! He is very calm and peaceful when we return. She stays at our home with him, so he can be totally comfortable, and she spends a considerable amount of time with him, walking him, running him, playing with him in the back yard, and even taking his portrait! Furthermore, Cooper is a very quirky dog, and Jane handles his idiosyncrasies with ease. She also administered his medication, and made sure he had all of the comforts he is accustomed to when his family is home. We were pleased to have Jane "house sit" for us while we were away as well. She is very reliable and trustworthy. While we were away, Jane continuously kept us updated as to how Cooper was doing, sending us picture texts, to comfort us that he was doing just fine. She even collected our mail for us! The house was exactly as we had left it (actually, it was tidier!!!). Upon our return, Jane sent us a package of beautiful, professional quality photographs of Cooper, as a "thank you." So lovely! Since her last stay at our home in September, Jane has continued to keep in touch to ask how Cooper is doing. She really does love animals, and has become Cooper's friend. We are so grateful to have found someone as caring and reliable as Jane, which allows us to travel without worry, and Cooper has his own "vacation" while he gets top notch care and attention. I would like to know the things that make her tick and the things that bring her the most joy in life. How does she react to strangers, other dogs, squirrels etc. Also, favorite toys, treats and bathroom habits.
A typical day
Well I always take the first few minutes to hours depending on the dog, to gain her trust and develop a bond. I like to go to the Bear hole reservoir or Mt Tom for walks if possible as I love the trails but will also supplement with walks around the neighborhood. I like to have the pup good and tired so they have less anxious energy and realization that they're favorite humans are away. If the dog has no dietary restrictions, I am happy to offer chew treats to bring extra joy into their lives but only if allowed by their parents of course. I also don't mind offering enrichment in the form of hiding treats and kibble in the home to give them something to do once I leave.

Availability
I drop off my kiddo to school in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon, currently only working a few hours a week at my job at a skilled nursing facility doing physical therapy.
