Pet care experience
Hello Rover family! I am a recent graduate from Portland State, and recently moved back to my home on O'ahu. I am flexible to house-sit anywhere on O'ahu, mostly over the long weekends with advanced notice. If you're located in Honolulu, I can house-sit on week nights if need be. I have 2+ years of experience volunteering for the Humane Society where I cared for both dogs and cats. I'm also a proud dog mom of a 10 year old, high-energy fox terrier/chihuahua named, "Oreo." I adopted, cared and trained him since he was 8 weeks old. He can now sit, lay down, shake, jump, roll-over and speak. He struggles with being territorial at times, thus I have experience with dogs who may demonstrate aggression. I look forward to meeting you and your furry pal(s)!

Xylia is an incredible dog-sitter and has become one of the best parts of our vacations. She is kind and willing to deal with any new behavior of our two dogs. One is a senior dog that requires a special diet and pills every day. Xylia makes sure our dog’s routines are followed without a glitch. Our other dog is a 3 year old jerk on a leash 😉 and Xylia handles it perfectly while maintaining the schedule of all walks. She is professional and reliable. We love telling our friends about how comfortable she makes us feel when we are away from home!
Xylia was very helpful and was great at communicating and responding to any questions. Our little dog needed a little TLC and extra monitoring due to a small medical issue and Xylia was perfect at it.

I love all breeds, big or small! It would be good to know ahead of time if your dog is house/potty trained, how often they are typically fed and any allergies or special conditions they may have.
A typical day
I am an avid hiker and would love to take your dog out for a casual stroll or, if your pet is up for it, trail running or a fun time at the beach. I will adjust our activities based on your dog's needs and abilities, whether it's a comfy day in the house with occasional walks or an adventure at the nearest dog-friendly park. Not to mention all the belly rubs and cuddles they'll get!
