Former vet student at Auburn turned med student for humans after I grew too attached to animals! I breed english labradors for duck hunting and have 3 beautiful labs, one of which is a service dog. The more the merrier! I enjoy training dogs, especially retrievers for duck hunting and field trials. I am extremely athletic and active, and I enjoy dogs with the same personality and lifestyle as me. I have found that many "hyper" dogs merely have a ton of built up energy, and just need a good run or ball throwing session to get all that pent up energy out, and I am happy to oblige. I think humans have a ton they can learn from dogs; for example, the way they are jubilant when you return home from class or work, as if they haven't seen you in years, when it has only been a few hours! Dogs always forgive, and don't hold grudges! I also enjoy doing foster rescues, as most of the time, these dogs need love and attention perhaps more than they need veterinary care. My class schedule permits me to spend a lot of time at home with my animals.
