Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs my entire life. Until I moved to college, I have never lived without a dog! At this time I'm unable to have dogs in my home- so we have several cats! I currently volunteer at the Watonwan County Humane Society in St. James, MN where I take care of the dogs there once per month all year and more often in the summer. (I'm a teacher during the fall/winter months!) My parents were a foster home for dogs - they were foster failures and adopted each of the dogs they fostered! My grandmother currently helps to run a organization which has fostered animals and given monetary donations for families needing help with vet bills and food. I have experience with all ages and sizes of dogs - I had a puppy when I was younger, so I've had dogs from 8 weeks to 12+ years old.

Whitney was great with the dogs, they seemed happy and I loved the picture she sent of studying in the couch. She was nice to meet in person, we will definitely use Whitney again!
Whitney is a volunteer for the Watonwan County Humane Society. Most of the time you can see Whitney on our Facebook page with the great videos she has taken of both dogs and cats and would be great at taking care of dogs and cats for others. She enjoys doing it and the pets will like her.
Whitney is an animal lover! The dogs she had growing up were always part of the family. Whitney is responsible and caring. She has tremendous empathy for dogs and loves all dogs. She has volunteered to take care of dogs at the local humane society. She would be a wonderful person to take care of your dog!
Whitney is an amazing person. If there has to be a someone who has to take care of my animals it would been her. She has taken care of my animals more times than none whether it was just checking on them or saving their life. She is so caring and sometimes I think she is the true animal wisperer.

I would like to know about any possible behaviors that are normal/abnormal for the dog - I would like to know if he or she has ever been vicious or is shy and what is the best way to approach him or her. As a shelter volunteer - I've come across a lot of breeds so I'm open to any.
A typical day
Love! I love brushing and petting and snuggling up with my dogs. Depending on the area - walks or runs will be near their home! Playing fetch and generally spending time together so the dog(s) don't miss their own humans!
