Hi there! My name is Whitney and I moved to westside Santa Barbara pretty recently. I have a Wildlife Biology Bachelor's degree. I love traveling, food, art and animals. I have worked with animals for years and have loved every moment of it. I have been a rhino, wolf, lemur, zebra, reptile, etc. zookeeper. This included feeding, medicating, and entertaining various exotic species. I have experience pet sitting, feeding, and dog walking. I absolutely love dogs and enjoy play time and down town with them. I have little, but some, dog training experience (with my own past pooches). I have had animals all my life and have cared for my own dogs, cats, fish, hermit crabs and even insects since I've been little and able to. To give your pet(s) the most comfortable experience while you are away, I'd be happy to have walk and play time and snuggle time. I can provide pet sitting and care for more than just cats and dogs! Birds, reptiles, rodents or farm animals are also welcome to my services! I can house sit while you are away and water plants. We can work out a quote for any extra services you may need. I am personable and patient, fun and loving and would love to get to know both you and your pet(s)!!!

Whitney was so great with my dog! I have a terrier-poodle that is usually not very kind to strangers, and I was reluctant to have someone he doesn’t know babysit him in the first place but I was out of family options and really needed it over a weekend i was going out of town. Much to my surprise Rocko (my dog) took to her immediately and she handled him so well. Aside from that she was on time and very responsive to my messages. I couldn’t be more happy with my decision to have her dogsit for me.
When it comes to pet care, no one is more trustworthy, caring, and responsible that Whitney. With loads of animal husbandry experience under her belt, your pets, whether they’re exotic or common, are certainly in good hands. Last year, Whitney cared for my snake and cat for a week while I was away on vacation, and she did an excellent job. I’d recommend her services to anyone!
I would totally recommend this woman. She's super kind and quick to respond to my messages and questions. She asked lots of questions at first to fully get to know my lab, Buddy. He seemed to have lots of fun and was tuckered out after their play time.
Whitney is FANTASTIC. She is the perfect dog mom. She is so caring and loving and she really wanted to make sure my dog had fun. Rosie gets very anxious when I'm away and whitney provided all the snuggles and ear scratches she needed to keep her calm.
