Must Love Dogs!

Pet care experience

Hi! My dog Dusty and I would love to host your pup(s)! Dusty is friendly and enjoys play time (although as he’s getting more senior he’s a bit less playful but still friendly!), long walks, belly and back rubs, and he even tolerates my attempts at slowly jogging with him (he loves to run off-leash but is an anchor on-leash!). He is more than happy to share any of these activities and more with his new friends! Given his age, however, he does best with low to medium energy dogs these days. We work from home (post-covid closures I go in one day a week), and he visits his friends in Daycare one day a week. We walk daily morning or night. We have a fenced yard for daytime breaks and rolls in the grass when it’s sunny. We live walking distance to a large fenced dog park if your dog is comfortable going to dog parks. We are convenient to the airport and the Banfield for easy drop-offs and pick ups. I currently work remotely for 4 of 5 days, and take Dusty out on walks and into the yard regularly. I do have calls during the day that I have to attend to but can be flexible. I have a fenced yard, although one side of the fence is shorter, waist-high. If you have a crate I can use it, but I don’t have one. I prefer no pups on furniture, but I know mine sneaks up when I’m not looking!

It was so great to know that during our trip our pup was in such good hands! Whitney was great about responding to inquiries on how things were going and sent a couple pictures of our dog and hers going on walks and hanging out in Whitney's home. Both Whitney and her dog proved to be great company for our guy while we were away. We already have her booked for another upcoming trip!

Whitney and her dog Dusty were great with our dog Eli! She responded right away to all of our texts, sent updates and photos of him daily. We could tell she knew much about dogs by the way she took care of him and handled all of his quirks! So appreciative for her care of him! Andrew and Debbie

Information Whitney L. would like to know about your pet

Dusty and I would like to avoid dogs that are overly aggressive around food, as he was once attacked by another dog due to a food-related misunderstanding. My neighbor (and conference call participants) would like me to avoid dogs that bark a lot. Dusty also seems to prefer dogs who have a more moderate amount of energy.

A typical day

We like to go on neighborhood walks and/or jogs, but if your dog is comfortable in the car we can also visit Mount Tabor and/or go on longer weekend hikes!
