This past year I was a dog sitter for a family who went to New Zealand for over a month. I made sure to properly follow instructions on how they wanted her fed and made sure her medicine was administered twice a day. They left me lists and instructions of how they wanted their dog taken care of (what commands needed to be performed for treats, toys she was allowed to play with, she needed to sit and stay before she was allowed outside), I made sure to follow it carefully. I stayed the night at their home, so I took care of their dog and watched over the house in case of any issues that could arise. I feel that I now know what is expected of you while your watching over the families best friend. Now I have my own dog, so it would be difficult for me to stay the night over your home, but I would be more than happy to have your lovely pooch over. They could come over for the day, stay the night or I could come over to your house and take them for walks. If your dog doesn't feel comfortable at a strangers homes, I completely understand and would love to make a trips to your home to assist in taking care of them when needed.
