Pet care experience
I had a family dog all my life, and walks with my dog were my favorite times with him. I have experience dog-sitting, both with large dogs and small dogs. I watched the Great Dane while I was also babysitting for the family. I stayed for a week at the home of a family with two golden retrievers. And I stayed at a home multiple times to watch a small terrier mix. The pet owners have always preferred that I stay at the house with the dogs, so I am accustomed to having to maintain a dog’s normal routine with feedings and bathroom breaks. When I would take my family dog for walks, we would typically be gone for about an hour, so I have no problem with long walks.

This was the first time using Rover and leaving our younger dog home with someone checking in on her. Leslie is a very high energy and anxious dog, Whitney did a great job with her☺️! We will plan on booking with her for future travel plans if she is available.
We are so impressed with Whitney! She has been such a blessing to us. If you are considering other sitters, don’t! Whitney is absolutely phenomenal with our two little girls. She is trustworthy and is a great person. When my husband and I go out of town, we know our girls will be well taken care of and loved. As soon as they see her, they run and jump right on her and won’t leave her alone. Whitney is FABULOUS and we love her!
Whitney is by far the best pet sitter/walker that my family has ever had! She genuinely cares for them, as if they were her own. My pups love playing with her and usually return home exhausted, while our cat lays next to the laser pointer waiting in anticipation of playtime. You won't regret hiring Whitney.

A typical day
I love long walks and/or multiple short walks. I can take dogs to dog parks, depending on owner’s comfort level. And I can play fetch with a dog’s favorite toys.

I am available Monday through Friday from 4pm to 8pm. I’m also available between 7am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. However, I am flexible and will work with clients to accommodate their needs.
