Positive reinforcement pet sitter

Pet care experience

I currently have two cats and two dogs. ( a mini white eski and a medium-sized yellow lab). I love animals and my degree in psychology gives me an edge in understanding their needs and behaviors. I'd love to watch over your pets this holiday season while you enjoy time with your family!

Whitney is fantastic - she's very responsive and proactive with communications. My dogs seem to be happy with their walks and I'm looking forward to having her walk my dogs in the future.

Whitney does a fabulous job with my dogs. I always appreciate her taking them out when I am too busy to do so and the dogs are always wonderfully excited to see her.

Whitney is my daughter. From a young age she has always loved animals, especially dogs. She is caring and compassionate and always wants to help the animal.

Safety, trust & environment

Currently, I am only able to watch pets in their own homes. Fortunately, this means you will have someone trustworthy capable of watching over your home while you are gone! I can water your plants and feed your fish.

Information Whitney G. would like to know about your pet

I will need to know your pet's health info, their personality, and their specific needs (energy levels, medications, feeding schedule, etc.) Is your pet a jumper? Are they a couch potato? All this information is important for me to offer the best care for your pet! I don't use shock or prong collars. How you choose to raise and care for your animal is your choice and I totally respect that! I am personally uncomfortable with using these tools on your pet.

A typical day

A typical day will involve hanging out with your pet and meeting their needs. During the winter months, it is more difficult to get pets outside on walks, but if the weather allows for it I will certainly take more energetic dogs out, given that I am also capable of controlling them on a leash. I am not comfortable leaving cats outside if they are outdoor cats, so they will remain inside with me while I am watching over them. I ask that you provide information on your pet's nutrition, such as the food and treats they enjoy and if you use any puzzle toys to feed them (I'm a big fan of puzzle feeding!).

I am currently in between jobs, so I have an open schedule. I will of course need to return home to check on my own pets and see to their needs, but I have a relatively clear schedule to give your animals the time and care they require.
