Pet care experience
I have been running my own pet sitting business for about 6 years and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science and have plenty of references upon request. Pet safety and health are my top priorities when house sitting and walking. I have experience in animal behavior, training and handling. My career started out as a zookeeper at Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield Missouri. There, I learned how to use positive reinforcement as well as animal care. After working as a zookeeper for 2 years I worked at the Humane Society of Missouri where I positively and safely handled a wide variety of dog breeds and temperaments. I have a passion for dogs that has led me to my German Shepard mix, Cinder, and I am excited to share that passion with your best friend. I am currently working at the Science Center part time as an educator. This job has taught me how to be compassionate, understanding and patient. I believe that an exercised dog is the key to a happy dog.

Whitby was absolutely amazing with are puppy Leo. She not only showed up for his walked but did some basic obedience training with him. We just loved how patient she was with him. I can't wait to have her back out to take him for a walk.

Whitney was amazing with our furbabies! We were able to leave knowing they were in great, loving care. She is trustworthy, reliable and very nurturing. We will certainly be using her again very soon!!!

In order to ensure a stress free stay/walk for the dog I like to meet the dog while the owner is home. This give the dog a chance to get to know me before we head out on an adventure.
A typical day
I believe that dogs need lots of time outdoor or exercise so we will be doing a lot of that. I normally stay where the dog has been so its neighborhood. I have on good authority that I'm really good at playing frisbee, fetch and tag a war. However I will never push your dog into doing something that is unsafe or scary for them
