Wendy does such a great job with our dog! She is very intuitive with animals and knows how to make them feel comfortable in her home. I feel at peace when I am away knowing that my dog is well taken care of.

Wendy is an amazing sitter. We have used her several times and our Golden always comes home happy and tired from the walks, playtime and summer swimming. Wendy is very educated on an animals needs and very proactive. She is our go to sitter.

Dog sitter great with all breeds!

Loving care provided to your pup(s). When caring for your pup(s), I treat them as one of my own. Whether I walk them or just check in on them, I'm known to go the extra mile. I offer a strict but fun routine for your pup(s) including long walks in the park on mild days or fun playing in the yard when it's not mild. If they get dirty while having fun ...

What Wendy would like to know about your dog

Every aspect of your dog is important to know. I will request vet information, and other health related details prior to accepting your pup; the health of your pet is my priority. 2nd, their personality is important to understand although I will get to know them during their stay & most pups develop different behaviors when away from home so it is important to know what some of their normal behaviors are.
When you are booking for the first time, we will review your current health records and I will require a copy of the most current vaccine information. It is important to note that if your pup requires vaccines prior to their stay dates, I require a 2-4 week quarantine depending on the nature of the vaccine being administered. The canine influenza vaccine is not required for pups in my care but I will turn away all sick pups at time of drop off so it is a good idea to limit your pups social interaction ahead of their stay dates to prevent illness.
To help pups adjust to their new schedule please consider changing free feeding routines to scheduled feeding the week prior to boarding for those slow eaters. Sometimes adding a protein or topper will entice them to eat versus waiting. I do recommend providing your pet with daily treats and a busy bone for down time and breaks from play.
Please fit your pup with an ID collar specific to the weather - typically nylon weave clip style collars are a great choice. If your pup is used to a harness for walks and pulls or does not walk well please provide a gentle lead (head harness) or e-collar - if they have been trained on this - I do not accept harnesses that promote the pull reflex.
Many owners who are familiar with my services, request my walk services and advanced training available only on a case by case basis. Where all pups in my care are trained how to behave in Auntie Wendy's home, where our pack prefers a peaceful calm stress free environment filled with lots of play, fresh air and love. Training techniques I use are Crate Games, Basic Obedience (up to level 2) exercised daily, e-collar training reinforcement for perimeter training and correcting negative social behavior, advanced training exercises are limited to field work training and trained swimmers.

When Wendy watches your pet

Walk Highlights: Most of my clients are in Oakland Twp, Rochester or Rochester Hills - North , where we take advantage of the nature parks and trails nearby; in Rochester Hills or Rochester we take community paths and try to find natural areas to give the pups time in nature.. I limit my daily walk clients to 5 to provide the best care and scheduling.
Walks are only booked during midday hours 10-2 Monday through Friday (non-holidays);
Summer walks are scheduled only between 9-1 for the health and safety of your pup.
Drop Ins: Please select this option to book peak visit times during evening hours or outside of walk service availability. Or when additional services are required during a visit, administer medication, meal feeding and activities like playtime, potty breaks or walks outside of midday M-F hours (weather permitting).

Day Care: Select day care allows dogs to play in small groups with other compatible dogs. I offer this for all size ranges and ages. Limited to 4 per day. Clients book weekly/bimonthly on the same day. *Please note, I have a pool and most dogs are taught to swim. I am a certified Red Cross Lifeguard.
