Pet care experience
I love animals and know how to connect with them, especially dogs. I used to assist dog trainers at a prestigious dog training and grooming facility in the Washington D.C. area and I loved my job! In fact, President Obama's dogs Sunny and Bo were among our clients. I volunteer at the Placer SPCA and am looking to do what I love best, work with dogs. I'll make sure your pup gets all the love and proper care he/she needs. I'm also willing to work with owners if there are certain training needs that need to be reinforced or if there are special diets I must take into consideration. I currently do not have a dog in my home, which is a plus because there is no need to worry about conflicting temperaments. I have owned dogs before, including a Boxer for 13 years, which I raised, trained, and groomed myself, and two Shih-Tzus before that. I understand they're part of the family and I'll treat your pup like my own and spoil them rotten! I look forward to meeting you and your pup soon!

Wendy did a great job with Pappi. She has a kind and genuine demeanor and Pappi took to her and Sam immediately during the meet and greet. We communicated during the stay and she sent several pictures during their daily activities which really put me at ease. I can't say how appreciative I am to both Wendy and Sam for caring for my sweet boy. I would recommend them to anyone who wants peace of mind that their pet is being truly taken care of!
I cannot say enough about Wendy! She took excellent care of our 4 month old pup while we were out of town for the day. She was kind enough to send me photos and updates throughout the day as well. Wendy and her husband Sam were easy to talk to and very patient with our sometimes angelic, sometimes crazy puppy. They have a big back yard and lots of prior experience with dogs. We will absolutely ask Wendy to puppy-sit again!
5 Stars says it all! Wendy is the best. She was a great companion to Annie and kept her busy during the 6 hours she stayed with her. Annie was a very tired pup for the rest of the evening and that is a good thing!
Wendy did a awesome job taking good care of our baby Duke.She sends pictures of Duke while we're away,it makes us happy knowing Duke was having fun.We are very thankful for her.

I gave her plenty of exercise in playing fetch with frisbies and tennis balls. Another client I had was a Pekingnese, a small middle to low-energy dog. She wasn't the type of breed to go out running but she enjoyed strolls and I made sure to keep her engaged and playful with her toys and treats.
A typical day
I like to play and interact with dogs to make them feel comfortable and to ensure I gain their trust. I'll also walk them and make sure they get plenty of exercise, food and water. I would encourage my clients to bring any bedding and toys that their dog enjoys to make them feel more at home. Kong toys are great to put peanut butter, kibble or treats in to provide dogs with an activity as well.
