I have been around animals since I was a little kid. I was the neighborhood kid known as the dog walker/catcher and 44 years later here I am….. Hi there…. My name is Wendi’s and I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to trust your fur babies with ANYONE, I know because I haven’t had a real vacation in YEARS! This is by our choice, why?? Because we never trusted ANYONE to care for our babies with the exception of our Vet’s office. Our pack is so spoiled that we feel that we are the only ones that would be able to handle their “quirky” habits, as they are completely regimented by our strong bond in which we know what they are doing, thinking and what their next move is going to be. As of now, the only mini vacations we have taken are 3 nights in Montauk and Pennsylvania, our 20 year old daughter has cared for them and slowly we are learning to cut the umbilical cords 😂 We have had 3 other pups that have crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge, I have posted pictures of them, not many because we still grieve them after all these years. Boscoe-Our 1st baby. Boxers are CRAZY…. The love they give us humans is 1,000 %. Boscoe lived just days shy of his 11th Birthday. Our vet told us without all of the loving and home cooked healthy meals, he would have died years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer. Boscoe came from German lines and weighed 125 lbs. he was very tall as well. Ralphie-Our sweet boy was a 198 lb. MUSH. Ralphie was an 18 month old English Mastiff who had severe Epilepsy. We did everything in our power to keep him calm and safe, however heavy dosages of phenobarbital was no life for our baby boy. We still do not have any pictures of him displayed as his life was cut way too short and we have never gotten over this loss. Lillie Mae’-Our sweet baby girl lived 12 years. She was an amazing 98 lb. American Bulldog. Lillie was extremely aggressive with Boscoe (Boxer), we trained her, got professional training and she turned out to be the BEST DOG! Chewie- Our Chew was the love of our life. This big boy with a heart of gold LOVED ALL! Weighing on at 185 lbs. this Newfoundland MUSH was my BOY! I cried non stop for weeks after we had to put him down at the age of 11 Newfi’s typically live 8-10 years. This breed is by far my favorite, although I could never get another one as the pain of losing him still taunts me 😢.
