I crawled around on all fours for the better part of a year when I was 7 in order to wear my parents down on getting me a dog. I mean seriously, who can deny those big pleading eyes, floppy ears, and slobbery, furry little faces? Not me! My first dog, the one I crawled around for at the ripe age of 7, was a rescued German Shepard Husky mix from the Humane Society, Max. I "raised" 1 puppy a male German Shepherd named Lorenzo growing up, and then got a puppy while an adult and realized I had no idea how easy I had it as a child (because my parents did most of the work). When I was an adult, I raised a puppy from 3 months until she was about four years old. I loved my chocolate lab, but could not take her with me when I moved out of state to pursue my Master's Program. She was placed with a great family with a lot of land to run around and a couple rambunctious young children to play with and love on! I have to say, one of the most challenging things for me to do around dogs is hold in my excitement, because overjoyed only begins to scratch the surface of how much fur babies make me smile! I do not currently have any pets of my own, but that's mostly because I've been successfully keeping a human alive for the past 3 1/2 years! Much like her mother before her, she's wearing me down to get her a pet. Enough about me! I want to know all about your furry family members and can't wait to meet them.
