Pet care experience
In the past three years, we have volunteered for a local animal rescue as fosters for over 50 dogs/puppies. We've fostered as young as 5 week old litters with their momma and adult/senior dogs as well. We have had experience with a variety of breeds and personalities and take every ounce of care to love and give attention to each and every dog we've had. I work from home and therefore can provide constant supervision and care. We only book 1 client at a time so there will never be another pet in the home, unless from the same family. We live on 13 acres of wooded area with our own trails ( so we never have to leave the property when it's time for walks, runs, and exercise!). We have a fenced yard that allows room for exercise and play. (Note: the fence is NOT wooded or metal, it is a very durable deer fence type netting that has so far served very well to contain multiple adult dogs and puppies). Inside the house we have a 2x6 plastic play pen, multiple sized crates, and plenty of toys, blankets, and treats! 🥰

My dog had a great stay at Wanna and Joe’s place. I was very impressed by how many different activities Wanna did with her during the day and how many pictures and videos Wanna sent us. Our dog came home happy and tired from a day of fun. We plan to work with Wanna and Joe again.
Wanna and Joseph did a wonderful job caring for my dog, Jules, while I was out of town for four days. They cared for her like she was their own. They have excellent experience with dogs, including past fostering and lots of sitting, and it shows. They are essentially pros and they have a home to match. During the meet and greet, I could tell within the first five minutes that they know dogs and how to care for them. My dog has her own idiosyncrasies and they handled them perfectly. They got her even more exercise than she gets at home and sent multiple updates per day with photos and/or videos. Their place is basically a getaway for dogs, especially those like mine that live in the city. They have plenty of space inside and out, including a nice fenced backyard, and everything needed to sit, from a huge baskets of toys, to treats, to a camera to monitor a dog if they are away for a bit. I could go on and on about how impressed I was with Wanna and Joseph. I plan and hope to use them again in the future, and I know Jules will be excited to go back. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a top notch sitter!
I hesitate to leave this review because I want to keep Wanna & Joseph all to myself. :-) They are an am amazing couple and their home is a dog's paradise; especially for dogs that love the outdoors. They were so attentive and kind to Willie. Watching them interact with him and his reaction to them made my feel so good. I could tell from the daily pictures that Willie truly enjoyed his time with. I will definitely use them again.
Wanna was excellent!! She was kind and patient with my puppy who needed some time to warm up to her home. She sent me pictures and videos and let me know throughout the day how my puppy was doing. He loved her yard. When I arrived, I could tell he was comfortable in her home and he was affectionate to Wanna as well. Highly recommended.

As mentioned above, since we have all the outdoor space needed here and we take only 1 client at a time, your pet will never be exposed or near any other pets... Other than any wildlife they may see out on the trails!

A typical day
We live in a single family home on 13 acres of woods with our very own beautiful trail! PLENTY of space to run and exercise without a need to drive to a park for outdoor time. We also have a fenced in back yard for casual play. Note: the fence is NOT wooded or metal, it is a very durable deer fence type netting that has so far served very well to contain multiple adult dogs and puppies. Please let us know if your pet is an escape artist or potential flight risk so we can ensure we leash before going outside. We are only a few minutes drive to Chesapeake/north beach so often like to take our clients for walks on the boardwalk. Please advise if you would rather your pet stay only at home, no problems at all!

Availability
I work from home full time so am almost always home to care for your fur baby. Please note for multi day overnight boarder requests: I do try to go to the gym each day so would request that your pet either is able to stay in a crate/pen for approximately 2 hours or able to be left alone to free wander during this period. Whenever we are dogsitting and out of the house, we activate our house camera so we can still monitor their safety during our absence.
