Pet care experience
Over the past 30 years, I have cared for every breed from Chihuahuas to St. Bernards and mixed breeds, young or old, highly active needing walks every few hours to geriatric old fellas who need meds and like to be quietly stroked. Felines, horses, donkeys, ponies, rabbits, rats, hamsters, and parrots are all part of the family. The one thing our fur friends all have in common - they need gentle loving care and one-on-one time to feel happy and safe, especially while you are gone. I am the animal whisperer! I love dog sitting at your home or doggy daycare at your house or my house. When I am at your house, I like to know your routine and do the same, so your dog can have the most normal day. I will send you pictures and make sure I leave your house tidy and clean. I can play, sit, and walk them as needed. If you would like me to train your dog to do something while you are gone, I am very patient to train dogs. And yes, even old dogs can learn new tricks. I am a handler of a service dog (Scout - in my profile photo) and take him with me on my babysitting excursions. I have trained 2 service dogs and am very gentle in my approach, working with their curiosity and using positive reinforcement (treats or toys depending on what your dog loves most). The clicker method or hand signals with command training are all effective depending on your dog. If you choose doggy daycare at my house, I have a little dog who is friendly and your dog will have a playmate and me to play with! I prefer to overnight babysit at your house as your dog baby will feel comfortable with all their toys and beds. : ) My dog has current vaccinations. Please show current vaccinations for your pet.

Vivien is a wonderful pet sitter who did an excellent job caring for our Goldendoodle! Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with Maya! During our time away, Vivien sent us photos of our precious dog having fun and shared some details about the day, which was really nice. And, when we came home after our week away Maya was relaxed and happy. I look forward to booking Vivien again in the future!! Thanks for doing such a great job! Highly recommend!!
Amazing dog mom herself. Viv is trustworthy and kind in so many ways. She would go the extra mile for anyone and everyone. I regularly have Vivien at my home to house or pet sit when I’m out of town.
Vivien has watched my pets on several occasions. I have two small dogs and a cat. She stayed in my home which made my pets feel safe and secure in their on home. Vivien, taught my puppy two commands, sit and lay down. My older dog required daily medication which she made sure she received. She noticed that my older dog had a dry nose and she applied a light coat of coconut oil to her nose. When I came home my dog’s nose was no longer dry. Vivien showed me what she did and I ended up adding coconut oil to her nose daily. My cat doesn’t require much attention but she kept her litter box clean, food in her bowl and plenty of fresh water. While I was away on vacation Vivien sent periodic pictures of my pets and provided me with updates. The communication she provided allowed me to rest and enjoy my vacation. Each time I came home from my trips I founds my dogs and cat happy to see me. Vivien treated my fur babies with care and love as if they were her own babies. She walked my dogs daily and played a lot of fetch in the backyard. If you are looking for a pet sitter, I highly recommend using Vivien to care for you fur babies.

I have a completely fenced-in yard with no way to escape. I will watch your dog pee, poop, and eat if your baby needs it. I know mine likes being watched when eating, and the other dog I frequently board likes when I watch her pee (go figure). When requested, I can bathe and groom your pet. I put down a non-skid mat so they are comFURtable while being bathed in warm water. I do it fast, but thorough, unless your dog like the water in which case, I get in there and play with them. I feed them owner-approved treats while they get bathed to make it more fun for them.

I would like their vaccination records, the name of your vet should an emergency happen and a way to reach you should an emergency happen. This includes a pre-established emergency plan in case I need to take you pet to the vet for urgent care. I would like to take their records and have a form of payment and we can pre-discuss how much emergency care you would like your pet to receive. I know it is an uncomfortable topic to address but the preparation will ensure that we have all bases covered and the likelihood of anything bad happening will be minimized.
A typical day
I enjoy mimicking your dog's routine. If I am pet sitting at your house, I would like you to show me your routine so I can provide the same with your pet to decrease the amount of anxiety they may experience while you are away. I will take pictures of you dogs in play or during sweet moments to share with you their happiness and ease. I can take you dog for a walk, or play in the back yard or in the house. If you dog enjoys car rides, I can provide them with that too! If you would like, I can even train your dog to do some tricks or obedience. I am a service dog handler and my dog is a service dog and has obedience training as well as knows how to do tricks. If your dog has medications, I will be happy to make sure they get them on time. I will leave you home tidy.
