Hi there, I'm Virginia and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your dog. I love dogs because of the joy they bring into our lives. They're not only cute and cuddly, but pure beings of unconditional love. I'd be honored to care for your furry family member and getting to know them (and you). I'm a writer and artist based in NYC, with an MFA in Creative Writing from CUNY City College. I grew up with dogs and have a sincere affection for all living things. The pets in my life are not only fun and pure-loving companions, but truly a member of the family. They can instantly shift the energy in any room by bringing laughter and joy, which is why I love being around them. I enjoy helping pets feel comfy and secure when their families are absent. I also take great pride in a clean, beautiful, and peaceful abode. During my stay, I will ensure the home you have wholeheartedly created for you and your loved ones is cared for with respect. I understand the value of clear and honest communication. I'm available any time to answer questions or concerns, and I'm happy to update you on how your pup is doing. I will spend as much time as possible creating a bond with your dog, so they know that I am loving and trustworthy. I have experience walking, feeding, bathing, and administering oral and topical medication when necessary. So let me know if your dog needs any additional care. Virginia is our go-to pet sitter. We trust her both with our two chihuahuas and our home. As anxious dog dads, we appreciate how Virginia listens to our worries and calmly reassures us that she will watch them them with love and care. She stays in contact via text, sending pics of our chis and providing updates of their time together. She has administered meds for one of our pets and paid special attention to the unique needs of the other. Our rescue dogs came with some quirks and Virginia is excellent at rolling with them. Any pet lover would be fortunate to have her as a caretaker.
Virginia is a responsible, dependable, and honest individual. Having worked alongside her for about 1.5 years, I appreciate her attention to detail and her nurturing nature. She is incredibly kind and considerate and goes above and beyond to empathize with her coworkers. Any dog would be lucky to have her as a companion!
Virginia has watched my dog Coop (and taken care of my apartment) for me on many occasions, and I would not trust anyone else with this. She is kind, loving, nurturing and responsible - everything you would want in someone caring for your beloved pet. Virginia loves animals of all kinds and it is evident in how she treats her charges - my dog adores her and forgets all about me whenever she walks in! I don't have a worry in the world when Virginia is dog sitting for me :)
Virginia fully understands the bonds of kinship between people and the animal kingdom. We as a species have much to learn from pets that provide a lifelong bond of unconditional love and companionship. A devout vegetarian that takes it to the next level by not putting ANY animal on her dinner plate, she understands that this fragile planet is not for the exploitation of one over another but to be shared in a spirit of harmony and balance. Influenced by her Buddhist teachings she brings a sense of spiritual calm and understanding between herself and a pet.
