Due to family allergies, I don't take in dogs or cats. Pretty much everything else. My family and I have experience caring for and teaching with furry, skinned, scaled and feathered friends for over 30 years! We provide pet-sitting services for almost any indoor animal except dogs and cats. Those darn allergies! As a preschool director and teacher and former naturalist with a Biology degree and a Masters in Outdoor Teacher Education, I have great flexibility, patience and knowledge of animal care. I've worked with non-releasable wildlife such as opossums, raptors, native snakes, and woodchucks to bearded dragons, box turtles, Russian tortoises, geckos, various snakes, frogs, cockatiels, parakeets, canaries, doves, chickens, guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs, and chinchillas. There is not an animal that doesn't interest me. We also have a great team of vets in Ely that are very experienced with a variety of exotic pets in case of an emergency.
