I borrow dogs to love!
Pet care experience
I love and care for your dog like they are my own! I only take one dog at a time. I snuggle and play with them and provide constant attention and companionship. Your dog is welcome in my lap and in my bed at night if they like. My fenced backyard is large and I take them out frequently to run around and play, however formal walks will be limited. I take only small dogs up to 28 pounds, and lap and snuggle dogs are enjoyed. I have had many dogs of my own in my life, all loved, and treated like my children. My father was a licensed, selective dog breeder in Ohio, and taught me care, grooming and behavioral knowledge. I have very good rapport and patience with dogs. However, I do not have any patience for fleas or accidents, and prefer not to have them in my home. I don't have a pet, so I am looking forward to loving yours! I am retired, and a painter (of pictures), so I spend some of my time in my attached studio with my visiting pup. When not in my studio, my visitor is doing what they like, I may be outside with them sitting on the porch watching, or I just might have a lap full of dog watching TV or reading. Very laid back and comfortable environment. I have a great fenced yard that has sniffy things for them to check out. Visitors like to nose around, find a shrub, or a special place, and generally explore. I keep an eye on them from my porch.

Randy had a great vacation with Virginia! He got plenty of love and came home happy and healthy. I would book again.
Thank you so much for taking such great care of my baby☺️We could enjoy our trip without any tension only because of you!your updates made our day so colorful and happy!Hushku is missing you definitely ☺️Will come to you again whenever we plan for a trip!
Virginia is very sweet and our little old man was well taken care of while we were away ! Since he’s older it was also comforting to know there were no other dogs there to make him anxious.
Virginia did a lovely job with caring for our little dog over a weekend. I had to book on a bit of a short notice and I appreciated how Virginia was quick to respond and flexible for us to squeeze in a Meet & Greet. She sent several pictures of our dog’s day and I liked her detailed descriptions of what our dog has been up to :) it made us feel comforted that he was being well cared for. At pickup, my dog was excited and was relaxed when we brought him home which I interpreted as he had a pleasant weekend with little stress. Would highly recommend and rebook next time we are in need of a sitter!

Information Virginia Lynn K. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know: is the dog potty trained; is the dog allergic to any plants, foods, or fabrics; is the dog on a flea routine; is the dog a "chewer" and if so, please bring his toys; does the dog know his/her name; are there any medications or shots needed? What would you like me to know about your dog to make sure they have a pleasant stay? Is your dog hearing impaired or losing their sight? I have taken care of many senior dogs, but need to know! In case of emergency, I also need your local vet's name/number and the name/number of a close friend in case of any problems. I know how much you love your dog, I want this to be a great visit!
A typical day
Hmm, I guess I am the fun for the dog. Treats, teaching them how to use the dog door, new words and commands. Snuggling and waking up in the AM for a belly rub!
