Virginia took amazing care of my senior dog Penny while I was out of town for a week and a half. During our meet and greet in advance of Penny’s stay, Penny and I were already at ease with Virginia. I have rarely left Penny and gone on a vacation and was so grateful for Virginia’s reassuring, downright heart-melting daily updates, pictures and video— Penny playing in Virginia’s spacious fenced in backyard, walking trails and watching sunsets over the Pacific, stopping and smelling flowers, and much more. From Virginia’s communications it was obvious Penny loved going on adventures with her new friend Virginia, playing in Virginia’s backyard, and napping in Virginia’s house. I felt completely at peace knowing Penny was well taken care of. At pickup time Penny seemed torn between coming home with me or staying with Virginia! Virginia was very responsive and communicative and I would highly recommend her. I hope Virginia will be available next time I take a trip! Thank you thank you Virginia—you are awesome!

I'm home most of the day. It's easy for me to take a break from what I'm doing to play with your pup, go for a walk around the block, or out to the park for some fun. There are so many fun places to explore in and around Solana Beach and Del Mar. I may leave for an hour or two during the day for yoga or the gym.

Information Virginia L. would like to know about your pet
All dogs must be able to be left alone for a period of time without barkinI may take your pup down to the beach if I feel they will be ok with the stairs and people/other dogs. I will stay in the leashed area and keep them on the leash at all times. Prior illness or other issues, especially known fears of cars, planes, fireworks, etc. Schedule is important. Chewing history. Overall training experience is helpful to know. Temperament with other dogs, kids, etc. Medication needs. Favorite toys, tricks, and treats. Anything else that would be helpful to know!
A typical day
On a typical day I will wake up and take the dogs for a walk. Then have some snuggles as we make coffee and have breakfast outside in the sun. Pups often like to take a nap in the sun after breakfast while I work on my computer and get a few things done. I'll break for lunch and go for a walk around the block. At the end of the day we'll head down the steps and go for a walk on the beach or head out to the park. I specialize in evening walks for my dog walking clients in Solana Beach. I can be available after 5pm until 10pm to check on your pup and give them some love and get some exercise when you have other plans in the evening.

A quick meet and greet is REQUIRED for all new clients to make sure my home is a good fit for your pup. I also require a meet and greet for my dog walking clients. Please allow time for that with your request, if applicable.
