Pet care experience
I have experience with senior, disabled, and post-surgical dogs of all sizes. My own dog is blind/deaf and requires several daily medications, so if you have a dog with medical needs I am your sitter! I have also potty trained and re-potty trained several dogs of varying ages. My entire life I have lived with several dogs and cats at a time.

Virginia was awesome! We travelled about 9 hours from Delaware for a week up in Maine and had each day planned with dog-friendly activities. Shortly after arriving, we were notified that one of our activity days did not allow dogs. I was so happy and relieved that Virginia could help us out as first time clients on short notice. This was my first time ever using Rover, or any sitter that I didn’t know. Virginia came for a meet and greet and I felt completely comfortable leaving my fur babies in her care while we enjoyed our day in Bar Harbor. If we lived locally, I would definitely use Virginia’s services again! She followed all of the instructions that I left as well as sending me detailed notes and a few pictures after each visit, which was great! I highly recommend Virginia! Thank you again, Virginia!

I believe in respecting pets and centering their needs. At my own home, I watch my dog for verbal and physical cues and base play/walks/training around those. I also love cuddle time! I take dogs out every 2-4 hours depending on their need and like to play in a way that encourages mental and physical stimulation. This can be activities such as fetch, puzzle toys, and training games. Don't worry, I also know dogs need structure and discipline but do not believe in using force or yelling. It is my mindset that once the dog and person bond there is a mutual respect.

A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally. I believe in walking every 2-4 hours depending on the need. Indoor and outdoor play can both be beneficial. If your dog has a favorite location I would love to take them there. Additionally, I can supervise/transport to play-dates with any pet friends.
