Pet care experience
I've been a teacher for fifteen years, and therefore understand how sincerity and consistency strengthen the bond between two creatures (be it teacher and student, or man and dog). I've loved animals, especially dogs, for as long as I can remember. Caring for them has always been rewarding and fulfilling to me. Friends and family have depended on me to walk, feed and bathe their dogs and pets throughout the years. I even volunteered for the Montclair animal shelter in 2010. I've taken care of as many as four pets at a time (including dogs, cats, rabbits & chickens). I'm comfortable and familiar with attending to animals of all sizes that have challenges in mobility, hearing, vision and digestion. Under my care, your adopted creature will receive whichever medicines that it may need, whether it's by pill or ointment.
Reviews
Vincent was a huge help while we were out of state for a few nights. We had a bad experience at a kennel so we turned to Rover. Vincent was trustworthy , responsive, friendly, and was able to handle a large giant schnauzer puppy with a lot of energy. We’ll be working with him again !
Very highly recommended. Vincent house sat and cared for our pets for 10 days. We have 2 cats and a dog, all of which are extremely timid. We were very concerned that they wouldn’t eat. Vincent was able to coax them to eat and actually was able to pet Finn-our dog-by the end of his stay. He kept in constant touch with pictures and videos. He watered the garden and the house was just as we left it. We were able to travel with happy hearts. We will certainly be using his services in the future.
Vincent is 5 stars. Stayed at my house and took care of my 2 1/2 year old 125 pound Cane Corso. He handled him with full control, exercised him, played with him, kept him happy, and WELL FED! ABSOLUTE professional, virtually nothing to worry about. He was quick to respond, gave updates without me asking, and kept Beef engaged while I was not home. Never was gone for more than 5 hours, expert care.
This was our first time using Vincent and unfortunately the experience could have been better. Perhaps Vincent had too much on his plate and was overcommitted with both housesitting and Ubering, which he said he would drive for 5 hour shifts but ended up being much longer than that on a few nights.

Your pet will receive the quality treatment rooted in kindness and love from a fellow animal lover. I believe the character of a society may be measured by its treatment and protection of other living beings. Dogs, in particular, and ourselves share a close connection due to our shared evolution. We hunted, fought and protected our families together. We respected and relied on each other. I maintain a close proximity to the animal and attend to its needs, preferences and overall well-being. These include companionship, diet (the specified amount of food, & plenty of fresh, clean water), exercise (walking & playing) and other types of bonding (petting, rubbing the belly, talking in a reassuringly positive tone, etc). Thank you for your time and consideration.
Information Vincent T. would like to know about your pet
Please make me aware of the names, quantities, rations and locations of all the animal's foods, poop bags, medications, leashes, collars, clothes, etc. Inform me of any allergies or parts of the house they might not be allowed to frequent.
A typical day
I'll do whichever activities that your dog or cat likes to do (playing fetch with a ball or stick, putting treats in its kong, giving it puzzle toys, reinforcing training, etc).

Availability
With advanced notice, I'm willing to adjust my schedule for the well-being and needs of your cherished companions. All clients' time is valuable, and there are numerous clients. A schedule that fills up fast every week does not allow much space for in-person meet and greets. An optional video/phone interview is available. However, if you confirm booking and pay in full beforehand, then I can meet your pet in person. If your pet requires a meet and greet before confirmation of booking, then compensation for travel expenses is necessarily required at least 24 hours in advance. Written reviews are available for you to read on Rover. References by phone are available upon request.
