Pet care experience
I love both dogs and cats. I used to work for a pet care business walking dogs and feeding cats in NYC. I worked as a nanny for many years in Charlottesville which often involved caring for the family dogs. I also used to be on the staff at CASPCA. Whether you need me to take your dog for a midday walk while you’re at work, or for me to stay overnight when you’re out of town, or for your dog to stay at my house I can accommodate that. I will of course follow your specific instructions regarding diet and other rules. I will send daily pictures and updates on your pet. I even have experience with birds, chinchillas, and rabbits. I look forward to hearing from you!

It is always hard to leave our dog when we travel. Long trips out of the country are even harder, you really have to know your dog is in good hands! Vijay has been that person for us for a few extended trips, as well as the occasional afternoon dogwalk. I am always confident that our dog is in good hands. Vijay sends updates and photos and our neighbors have even noted how relaxed our dog is with her.
Vijay was so great! She took wonderful care of our dog and was completely attentive. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our furry baby was in capable, loving hands. She communicated with us every day, texting pictures and updates. We highly recommend Vijay. Thank you for everything!

I don’t have any preference if breed but I would prefer that the dog not be aggressive toward cats if they are going to be boarding with me.
A typical day
If your dog enjoys trips to the dog park or fetching balls or sticks we can provide that. Our neighborhood is ideal for long walks. Our backyard is fully fenced in and very spacious (house is on a half acre lot).
