Dog behaviourist (in training) with 4yr experience
Pet care experience
Hey, I'm Victoria! I'm 29 and I’ve loved dogs since I can remember, and have spent the 4 years loving Rover and meeting all the four-legged friends and owners, with a mixture of regular help or a one off! So much so, I've made a complete career change now working for The Kennel Club and studying Dog Behaviourism so I can help improve the lives of dogs and their owners. I’ve just moved to Clapham, having run a successful dog sitting business in Nottingham for 3 years, so building up my client base down here now! I live with a family friend overlooking Clapham Common so not short on green space to run around, play fetch, belly-rubs or even cuddles on the sofa with doggy sleepovers, daycare or a lunchtime walk. Throughout the last 4 years, I've had the joy of looking after dogs of all breeds (from Miniature Toy poodles through to Akitas and Huskies), walked across most of Nottingham countless times and built relationships with clients so much that I'm Auntie Victoria to their dogs, and they're like my own. With my experience and currently studying canine behaviouralism, I do take on many dogs who are reactive around other dogs or struggle with separation anxiety, a new phenomenon since COVID pandemic meant owners were always home. I always insist on meet & greets to make sure that you, your dog and I am comfortable, and it starts to build up familiarity with me and my home to your four-legged friend. I have a very flexible job so can accommodate most requests, don’t be afraid to ask! I love any size of dog and my experience has taught me how to respond to their different behaviours & personalities, and reinforce any training that you're doing! I only take 1 dog at a time so you can trust that your dog is getting my full attention - my motto has always been dog first.
Reviews
Teddy seemed to have a super lovely and busy day! Victoria was fab and made sure to update me throughout the day with pictures! Will definitely be using her again! X
I was impressed with Victoria’s knowledge and attention to details in the care of my Dalmatian puppy, he also thoroughly enjoyed her care.

Whilst I may not yet have a dog of my own, my home does not reflect that. I have many dog toys, enrichments, treats to keep them happy and stimulated. Living on the Common itself means plenty of room to run around for your dogs, I have flexi-leads & long lines to ensure they’re safe at all times.

Information Victoria v. would like to know about your pet
Ahead of any daycare or overnight stay, I'll need to make sure that your dog is house trained, some notes on their usual routine (food, bedtime, where they sleep/settle, favourite play activities, length of walks etc), their vet details and emergency contacts.
A typical day
I'm all about both physical and mental enrichment - depending on how far your little furry friend can go, I've got some great parks near me. My closest one is obviously Clapham Common & having newly moved, I’m enjoying exploring other areas of London for checking out some new smells & friends (if they like). I have an ever growing collection of dog toys and mental enrichment activities to keep any pup entertained - I've even been known to play football with one French Bulldog who shamefully was better than me! For any dog I have, I read up on the breed to find out what is going to stimulate them best and find the matching toy/game! Some dogs also like the chilled life so there's plenty of cuddles and belly rubs on the sofa - and if they're staying overnight sometimes in bed (but only if you allow it in your home)

Availability
I work for The Kennel Club so couldn't be a more accepting workplace for being dog friendly! If they're not joining me and the team on a conference call, I have a very flexible calendar working from home and therefore multiple walks a day and playtime is absolutely fine.
