Hi! If you’re looking for someone who prefers dogs over humans you’ve come to the right place. Okay, slight exaggeration but I really appreciate dogs for their loyalty and love. Growing up I had a beagle, she was sickly and passed at a young age but since this time I’ve cared for dogs of various sizes- including a Havanese and Portuguese Water Dogs. I view dogs as part of the family but believe they should understand who is the alpha (owner) and am vocally stern when they misbehave. To gain a dogs respect and trust I think it is important to be gentle and kind. I would likely use small treats upon owners approval to make their dog feel more comfortable with my presence. You wouldn’t have to worry about me entering your home, I’d never bring anyone with me and would just be there to do my job as your dog walker or sitter.
