Pet care experience
I've been taking caring of family pets since I was a child, but the last few years I've really stepped up in that role, especially after bringing home a pet of my own! All of my dogs have been large breeds, my current dog is the smallest I've had, weighing 75 lbs. I've also done dog training classes with my current dog, so I can keep up proper training for your dog and work on basic skills during our time together! My dog, Chance, I found as a stray a while ago. Because he was fully grown and in bad shape, he required some regular care and attention to get him healthy again and adjusted to living in a home! With this experience, I definitely understand the patience and work that dogs are. This experience specifically has made me better working with untrained puppies and senior dogs who may need some special medical attention during our time together.

A typical day
I like to keep dogs stimulated by making sure they follow proper dog training skills. They'll just do the basics, but even small commands can make a difference in tiring out a dog mentally and physically when you just take them on a walk!

Availability
I'm currently not working from June - September while I prepare for grad school, so my schedule is pretty flexible! My time will be more constricted in September, but plan on still working for Rover!
