When we lived in Nevada, I'd often watch my grandma's maltese, Chini, for several weeks at a time. She was a part of the family. Every couple of months we'd go hiking, and take her with us. If it was winter, we'd go to Mt. Charleston and she'd have her own sweater, hooded jacket and snow boots. I had a knack for being able to tell what she needed, for example, water when she was thirsty. If she got tired from the walk, I'd gladly carry her. I strongly believe that dogs are more than pets, they are our friends and family. I do school online and work part time, so I have extra time during the day that would be great for taking care of your family pupper.
