I’m Vicki. My love for animals, especially dogs, inspired me to become a pet sitter. I can’t remember a moment in my life when I wasn’t surrounded by canines. I’m really fond of the Rover community and the other sitters that I’ve encountered on the platform. There are few people on this planet that I would trust to take care of my fur child, Tucker. While I’m aware that watching someone's pet is a big responsibility and commitment, it’s something I’m prepared to take on. Growing up, my neighbor had nine dogs including seven Chihuahuas, a Great Dane, and a Greyhound. Initially, I was afraid of the two larger pups, but I soon realized how wonderful and gentle they were. I spent the next several months begging for a pooch of my own, and eventually, my family adopted a small Fox Terrier mix named Ralph. As an only child, he was my best friend. Ralph passed away when I was in college – we think he was close to 21 years old. I gained lots of pet sitting experience looking after dogs for my friends, family, and co-workers. They’ve always trusted me with their animals – big and small! I try to live an active and healthy lifestyle. I enjoy hiking and backpacking. Tucker accompanies me on almost every trip. I also like taking yoga classes, reading, and drinking craft beer. I love music and enjoy listening to my record collection. You'll often find me searching for vinyl at the local record store, drinking coffee, reading a book, or responding to emails. I’m an interior designer, so I also like to explore buildings and interiors in Baltimore.
