Pet care experience
** Please read everything before booking ** My family has rescued street dogs in Argentina since I was very young, so I’ve been around dogs for 25+ years. I take care of my neighbors', friends' and family's pets (dogs, cats, rats and chameleons!) every chance I get. I've also fostered dogs and volunteered at RocketDog Rescue Urban Sanctuary in Oakland, California. I love animals and you can trust me to love your pet like it's my own.
Reviews
Veronica is nothing short of Incredible. We left our senior dog, Ivy, with her for three weeks. When we dropped Ivy off she was feeling her age, having a bout of feeling old and achy and hesitant to go for walks. Veronica was so patient and kind to Ivy that over time (and new meds and vitamins) Ivy returned to her old self by the time we picked her up. I love our dog, and receiving daily videos from Veronica, and knowing how well she was cared for, allowed me to truly enjoy our trip. Veronica is the absolute best, and I can’t express just how grateful I am for her and her family.
This was the best experience, Veronica took such good care of our dog while we were gone. She sent us daily photos and videos which we so appreciated and cherished! I’m so grateful for her!
So glad that my pup had a great time!
Veronica and her husband took amazing care of our dog, Mikey. We feel like Mikey has a new family now when we travel.

We have an old terrier-mix and a young Golden Retriever. Our terrier Kelly is highly trained. He mostly keeps to himself and is living his best, retired life. They’ll have no interaction, as Kelly is very anxious and prefers solitude, so we want to honor that. He spends the day with my husband, who has an office in our garage. When in the house, Kelly has his own separate area where other dogs aren’t allowed, so he can be a couch potato without interruptions. Canela, on the other hand, still acts as a puppy and loves every living being she meets. She’s been properly socialized and trained since she was 8 weeks old at West Seattle Wonderdog, and is always around dogs of all sizes and energy levels. She’s very active, energetic and enjoys walks around the neighborhood, playing with other dogs and swimming. Your dog will share the house with her, so I always like to make sure they’re a good match. If your dog is not friendly or comfortable around dogs with high energy, this will not be a good fit for you. We have experience crating, muzzling and administering medication to dogs. They’re always supervised when playing outside and fed separately to avoid any food aggression. Safety always comes first! At night, all dogs sleep in their crates for their own safety and comfort. *I require a meet & greet prior to booking a new dog*

Information Veronica R. would like to know about your pet
Let me know of any special needs, diet, character/behavior traits, medication or routines that I should be aware of. If your dog gets anxious when away from you/in a new house, please provide anything that can help them relax. I work from home, so I have full flexibility to accommodate your pet's needs and give them plenty of love. I will send you daily pics/videos and I'm always available to answer any questions or concerns you might have! I know first hand how stressful it is to leave your pet with a stranger or to find a trustworthy sitter, so you can count on me loving and taking care of your pet as my own. The only requirements I have are that your pet is potty trained and friendly/okay with a high energy dog around.
A typical day
We'll start off each morning with a walk, as it's part of my dogs’ routine. I usually wander around my neighborhood or walk to a nearby park and explore it for a while. Breakfast follows. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet will always be around people and we can take them on potty breaks as frequently as needed. I also take several breaks from work during the day to do some short training/playing sessions with Canela, so your dog will enjoy those too. After work, we go on another walk or–weather permitting– play fetch at a park or take the dogs for a swim. We have a big, fenced backyard with lots of grass and trees that the dogs can explore and enjoy. I always say that a tired dog is a happy dog and I live by it. If your dog is staying with us for longer than a week, I'd be happy to take them hiking or swimming, too (if you're okay with it and weather permitting), as it is something we enjoy doing often on weekends.

Availability
I only board one dog at a time so I can provide the best personalized care and attention to your fur baby, and since I work from home, my schedule allows full flexibility to accommodate their needs. We have a big, fenced backyard where dogs can have plenty of play and exploration time. I’ll also take your dog on daily walks along with mine. A tired dog is a happy dog!
