Hi! My name is Veronica. I'm a High School Math Teacher working in the Brentwood area and living in the Martinez area. Ordinarily, I spend my free time hiking, running, climbing rocks, and otherwise enjoying the outdoors with my Cattle Dog, Zelda. These days, climbing is a no-go, so it's been mostly hiking and running. With the quarantine, I'm home more (as are we all), and Summer School is in little demand, which means I don't have a way to earn extra money over the summer. I'm looking to help folks take advantage of beautiful weather by taking care of their dogs while they're away. As a dog-mom to an Australian Cattle Dog, I know what it takes to tire out and mentally challenge high-energy working breeds. I love planning engaging dog-friendly excursions and training time for Zelda and look forward to challenging your dog's brain as well!

I lived with Veronica for over 2 years, plus I have known her for almost 5 years now. I have seen her interact with plenty of dogs and she also has helped me alot with my two dogs when we lived together. She got her own her own dog and has become an exceptional dog owner. Veronica knows just about everything you need to know in order to help any dog situations and is completely dependable for any help and advice. She has watched my dogs on numerous occasions and they always come back to me happy and well loved. Veronica is one of the most caring dog owners I know and anyone would be lucky to have her take care of their dogs. Pick her! She's literally the best!
Veronica has always had a great affinity for animals and has been a reliable, loving, caring dog owner since she was 4 years old. She has demonstrated an attunement to the animals that she is around and seems to speak their language, intuiting their needs in the moment. With her current dog, I have been impressed at the level of consistent care and training she has demonstrated. I highly recommend Veronica to care for your dog and provide warm, consistent care during your absense.

Since I have my own dog, it's important that your dog be comfortable with other dogs. Is he/she friendly and respectful of other dogs? Can your dog walk up and down stairs on their own? My apartment complex does have breed restrictions. What breed is your dog?
A typical day
I live nearby a couple of dog-friendly trails, including Briones Regional Park, so hiking is a staple for my own dog and I. As the owner of ahigh-energy dog myself, I understand the importance of making dogs think to tire out their brains as well as their bodies. I like designing challenging and intellectual tasks for Zelda and other working dogs to help them keep from getting bored. Lately we've been working on easter egg hunts, but we also name toys, play 101-Things-to-do-with-a-Box, and other brain games.
