Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen. And I know how to listen really. The other day I went to pick up a very shy pit bull called Rosemary. Yes, a pit bull. She had her tail down and her ears down and looked at me with only the corner of her eye. So I listened. I refreshed her water, added a few snacks and look for her toys. Before the walk, I took the time to establish a bond with the Rosemary. We played and played until she showed me her leash. It was time to go for a walk. We walked at Rosemary pace towards the water. Rosemary loved to jump rock to rock, so we did. Rosemary's owner said she never seen her shy pit bull so content when she arrived home.
