I have had a dog since I was 10 years old. I grew up with two Labradors, I would walk them, play hide and seek, scent train with them. When I moved out I had my own lab that I again did all those things with. Throughout college I had roommates who have had pit bulls, German Shepard’s, and Healers. I have cared for them all the same way, walked them, fed them, and gave them love. I currently have a bluetick hound who is by far the hardest breed I have trained or had. He is stubborn and has a mind of his own, he’s almost three years old and listens with stern command. I have learned how to adapt my wag of training and vocal commands with each dog. I make sure the dog feels comfortable with me at first, then I know to remind them I am the one in charge.
