SupaStar DogSitter @ Your Service!

Pet care experience

For Dog Sitting, I mainly provide services in the following areas: Central LA & Westside including: Hollywood Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Fairfax, Echo Park, Silverlake and Beverly Hills. I am also willing to travel to: NoHo, Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Studio City, and other areas within a 12 mile radius of Hollywood. I am a die-hard Dog Lover! I’ve had dogs in my life since 1995, but when I first met my baby girl, Boots, as an 8 week-old puppy in 2000, it was love at first sight! My partner and I at the time adopted her from the San Francisco Animal Shelter. I cried because the love that welled up in me was overwhelming. I knew we were going to have a special, life-changing and amazing adventure together, and we did for 12 years. She passed on June 3, 2012 from cancer! To this day, I still miss her, but am forever grateful because she showed me I had a special gift and affinity for loving, caring for, training, nurturing and connecting with dogs! I’ve even had friends and some clients call me a dog whisperer! I am also a singer, songwriter, recording artist and performance artist with a very flexible schedule! A lot of my work, I do from home, so your dog(s) and I get to spend some serious quality time together! I have been dog sitting independently and worked for an award-winning San Francisco-based dog walking and sitting service since 2006. My rates reflect my experience and quality of care provided for your pet and your home. However, if you are really keen to have me as your dogsitter, don't let my rates deter you. Let's talk about your specific situation and see what we can work out. I do basic training (sit, down, come, stay, heel, shake, high five, roll over, etc.). I have a special place in my heart for and experience with puppies, Senior dogs and dogs that need special care and medication. I am an active person, so dogs I take care of get good exercise based on their physical ability. And, of course, they always get lots of love and cuddling if they are into it. I take special care to respect and uphold dog owners' rituals, training and instructions they have for their pets. I also take very good care of clients' homes including mail retrieval, trash collection, watering plants, etc. Clients can rest assured that their home will be well taken care of, and clean and ready for their return. All of my clients have been very happy with my services. I've even had clients return home and wonder what I have done to their dog(s) because they are so happy and chilled out. And to top it off, their homes look and feel wonderful.

I highly recommend Veronica for your pet's care. If you're like me, your dog is your family, and Veronica treats my dog accordingly. She was extremely attentive to my dog -- noticing that she had a potential bladder infection (she did!), collecting and dropping off the urine sample (above and beyond!), and washing my dog before I picked her up after a long trip. Veronica not only knew how precious my dog was to me, but also loved her and had her own relationship with her. You will be happy you chose Veronica for your family's care.

My sweet Standard Poodle and I were very happy that Veronica was able to care for her while I was away. I'm confident that my dog was well loved and cared for. Veronica stayed in my home and maintained our regular routine, which is much easier and less stressful for both my dog and me. I was impressed that Veronica was conscientious about instructions and details. It was also nice to come home after my getaway and not only be back with my happy girl but also to find my home just as I had left it. I'm sure it takes care and adaptability to step in and maintain someone else's space for a period of time. I’d be happy to hire Veronica again.

Veronica is truly one of the most amazing pet and house-sitters you could ever hope for. My dog is nearly 16, and we've met a fair number of sitters and caregivers over the years. For a big dog (hound/shepherd mix), that's absolutely ancient, and taking care of him is an exercise in patience - even for me. She loves what she does, and she loves the animals. You'll sense this when she meets your pets, but don't be surprised if your neighbors say so as well. The first time Veronica took care of Smokey, no fewer than three neighbors commented about how fabulous a person she was and how much she loved taking care of my dog. As a bonus, she's clean and tidy, pays close attention to any rules you have around the house and kitchen, and as someone who enjoys cooking, she knows how to take care of your fine knives and cast iron cookware. I swear that my house is actually cleaner when I return than when I left it. She is punctual, flexible, dependable, and trustworthy. It is without exaggeration whatsoever that I say I there is no one I would rather take care of my house and dog when I'm away.

Veronica has been my pet sitter for the past decade, and she has set the standard of care that I expect from anyone else. She is attentive, knowledgeable, and loving with my dogs, and I can confidently go away—especially to remote locations with sketchy reception—and know that my pups are in good hands. I also know that my home will be well-cared for, my mail will be gathered, my valuables will be secure, and that Veronica will have no guests in my home without my permission during her stay. I first utilized Veronica’s services for my 2 dogs who were elder mini schnauzers requiring more patience, slowed schedules, and gentle care due to their age & medical conditions. From intense medication regimens to a more frequent walking schedule, Veronica was able to accommodate their needs. My current pair of pups includes a skittish 50lb greyhound mix & a fearless 30lb terrier mix. She handles their differing personalities easily & confidently, and they LOVE her. (The 2nd time she came to my house, my boys eagerly but patiently sat at her feet as if on command. I’d never seen them do that to anyone, including me!) This pair is also raw fed, which Veronica has managed easily, as well as my stringent feeding clean-up standards. When I check on my dogs during her stay, Veronica always provides a detailed account (as much or as little as I need) about their activities, eating habits, and overall well-being. Veronica clearly adores animals, is super organized and precise, and extremely reliable. I definitely count Veronica as a HUGE source of help in caring for my boys when I have to go away, and she’s always my first call when I need a pet sitter! ~LB

1. Any specific quirks or behavior issues. Personality traits. Interactions with other dogs, what to avoid, etc. 2. Where does your dog sleep? Allowed on furniture? 3. What training commands you use/does your pet know? 4. Food/Treats/Meds/Supplements specifics and location 5. Walking and feeding schedule 6. Location of leash, poop bags, toys, etc. 7. Vet Info: Veterinarian, address, telephone 8. Emergency Vet info 9. Emergency contact numbers, yours and whoever else's you think I should have 10. Anybody have an extra set of keys to your home (neighbor, friend in the city, etc.) if I need 11. Are you expecting any package deliveries or anybody to come by during my time at your home? 12. Other home care needs: mail, trash, plants, etc. 13. Additional info important for me to know?

A typical day

Activities with your dog will depend greatly upon your dog's age, ability, health, etc. It is important to me to adhere to your routines for your dog and take heed of your knowledge of his/her/their behavior/socialization, energy level and whether or not off-leash excursions are possible, or isolated walks are best. Other than that, I love taking long vigorous walks in the neighborhood, visit to the dog park, or hitting the trails; playing fetch, cuddling, watching movies together, having conversations about doggie stuff, having stare down or tug 'o' war contests and of course lots of petting! Basically, I love a happy dog, so I make it my priority to see that your dog is well-loved and happy.
