Please read my profile information in full before requesting a booking! I have been working with animals for over fifteen years, volunteering at shelters, fostering, and caring for pets of my own and for others. I am a dog trainer, with a strong understanding of canine behavior. I have cared for and trained dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes! I will care for your pet as if they were my own, offering the care they will need to be happy and relaxed while you are away. House sitting is defined as staying overnight, and I offer two drop-ins during the day. I will be in and out during the day, and sometimes work up to eight hours. Pets must be potty trained. (I also offer puppy and geriatric care, where they may not be fully potty trained, and I will be there more often, but for a different rate) I offer care for dogs mostly, but do accept cats on a case by case basis. Your pets will enjoy plenty of playtime, cuddles, and love while I am watching them!

This was the first time we've used Rover.com and the first time we booked Verity. Prior to confirming our first booking, Verity came to our house for a Meet and Greet with our Siberian Husky, Shiloh. We immediately liked her. She provided us with references whom we were able to easily contact. They gave her rave reviews! On the day of our booking, as well as the Meet and Greet, Verity showed up early and gave us frequent updates for her ETA. She was very good with Shiloh, a rescue we recently adopted and who has severe separation anxiety. Verity was great with Shiloh and kept her distracted while we left the house. She kept us updated and sent us pictures via text throughout her stay. We will definitely book Verity the next time we have a need for a pet sitter.
Verity was a great sitter for our dogs. She kept excellent communication and our dogs were in good spirits when we returned home from our trip. Will definitely hire her again.

I will stay overnight with your pets, take care of their daily needs, play, and snuggle them. I do not offer constant care at the usual house-sitting rate. Pets who can not be left alone for at least six-eight hours are not a good fit, as I do accept drop-ins during the day, as well as training clients. I will rarely be gone for more than eight hours. I will not invite anyone into your home unless you expressly allow it. Your pets will not be taken off leash outside of your property, or a fenced in area such as the dog park (I only take dogs to the dog park if you give permission.) When off your property, I will make sure that your dog is fully secured. If the gear they have is not sufficient, I will use my own gear. Your pet's safety is my top priority. Let me know what training tools your dog is used to. I will use flat collar and harness unless there is other gear which they require (prong collar, etc). I am trained in the correct use of training tools. I require all reactive/aggressive dogs to be muzzle trained and be willing to allow me to muzzle when off your property. It is for your pet's safety and will protect your pet in case a situation were to arise. If you are curious about muzzle training or proper muzzle sizing, I can help you with that! I DO NOT watch indoor-outdoor cats unless they can be contained within the bounds of your property.

Are they crate trained? Are they potty trained? How many hours can they be left alone? (My minimum is six hours) Do they require daily walks? (I do not offer walks with house sitting, since I will be giving them plenty of daily exercise and stimulation in home and the yard.) I will give walks as needed, but do not offer daily walks as a baseline.
A typical day
Your dogs will be enriched mentally and physically, with plenty of playtime, snuggles on the couch, tasty treats, and love. You will not have to worry about your babies while under my care. I keep communication frequent, and I will let you know if anything arises!
