Pet care experience
I'm a pediatric resident Physician at Nationwide Children's Hospital and between shifts I have enjoyed caring for my own dog Buddy (large hound-mix) and his best friend, Milo (chihuahua/jack rusell mix)! In addition to these guys, I've taken care of my two family dogs (collies, Snickers and Lady) since I was about 10 years old until they crossed the rainbow bridge while I was in college. I've also had 3+ years experience here on Rover. Other work experience includes being a resident doctor at Children's (current, 2 years) and tutoring in the past. All that being said, I am reliable and hard working, and promise to take only the best care for your pets!

Vanessa stayed at home with Jackie our 7 year old Boston Terrier. She suggested meeting with Jackie before her stay outside of the home to abide by Covid-19 guidelines ,which we thought was very thoughtful. During our first meeting we felt very comfortable with Vanessa. She gave Jackie a lot of attention and befriended her with treats and it seemed almost immediately that Jackie liked her. During her stay she kept us up to date with pictures and text messages and was very courteous and professional. She is warm and compassionate and those traits shine through. Jackie and her bonded by the end of her stay and we couldn't have been more happy. She really put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy our long weekend. At our meet and greet, we will discuss this in-depth! But I love to know their every day routine so I can make them as comfortable as possible. I like to know their potty routine, walk routine, bedtime routine. I like to know walk behavior (i.e. they don't like other dogs, they like to eat things off the ground) so I can make sure to keep them safe. I also like to know how they fare on their own if need be.
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood, tug of war or fetch in the yard -- you name it! Every pet is different so I'll be sure to ask what your furry friend likes the best! At the very least, they will have great company!

Availability
Availability: When in doubt - please look at my updated calendar availability! My schedule waxes/wanes and would be best for intermittent dog-walking or drop-ins as needed. For complete transparency, if you are looking for mid-day consistency (weekly or daily) over several months, I may not be able to provide this just due to the nature of my rigorous physician schedule. However, if you are looking for random days in which you need a dog walker but without long-standing frequency, or the occasional holiday-coverage, I'm your gal! That being said, I would likely be able to be more consistent for night-time and after-hour dog walks/drop ins, if you're stuck working the night shift! (I know that feeling!)
