Reviews
Vanessa did a great job, right on time, very clear communication, really seems to love working with our pup. Thank you so much.
Vanessa was wonderful with Sadie. I truly appreciated the photos and notes on my Rover card. Thanks again Vanessa for always taking such good care of Miss Sadie girl.
Vanessa is an excellent dog sitter, she is very responsive to emails and is a pleasure to have her watch our new puppy. She has a lot of experience with dogs, flexible with your schedule and we were really lucky to have her this past time. I highly recommend booking her for sitting or walking your dog, and will always book her first.
Vanessa is the best! She is patient, reliable and so, so positive in her approach and communication. You can leave your pets in her care with no worry.

Safety, trust & environment
My Approach: I only use POSITIVE handling and reinforcement techniques when working with dogs. This means I will never use choke chains, prong collars, unnecessary verbal/physical correction, or force of any kind with your dog other than in the interest of their immediate safety. Training: Do you need help training your dog? Is your dog an escape artist? I also offer one-on-one training visits with you and your dog to help you overcome frustrating issues. I specialize in humanely stopping leash pulling, jumping, begging, barking, puppy biting, and much more, all without use of force. I believe everyone is capable of training almost any dog almost any thing, as long as you understand how a dog learns. NOTE: Training visits are usually separate from regular walks and drop-ins due to the different care priorities for each type of visit.

Information Vanessa S. would like to know about your pet
Generally, I will only walk dogs that are fitted with a harness that doesn't constrict the neck, since this is the most humane type of restraint, especially if your dog is accustomed to pulling during walks. No choke chains, prong or electric collars, please. I would like to know about special needs and medications for your dog ahead of time. Please also let me know if your dog has a history of anxiety or aggression with people, other dogs, cars, or specific situations like being in a kennel.
A typical day
Whether you book a walk or drop-in visit with me, you can expect comprehensive service that includes your preferred combination of walking, running, playtime, belly rubs, water/food refills, and special requests. I'll respect your property and privacy at all times, as well as perform a quick health and safety check of your dog and the area they're staying in, and report any concerns immediately to you.
