Pet care experience
I’m just beginning my journey on Rover, but I’ve always had at least one dog in the family for as long as I can remember. I currently am not certified to train dogs or administer medications, but have trained both of my current dogs, give them their daily medications, baths, nail trims, and all the belly and ear rubs they want. I have experience with difficult/aggressive/reactive dogs; not everyone has this experience. The dogs who take a little more time to get to know a human before they completely trust them. This is the case for my rescue boxer, Brody. When out in public he wears a muzzle, not because he wants to attack, but because he’s anxious. He has possibly been mistreated by humans in the past and his only reaction to his anxiety is to nip or bite. So I’m here to help all the personalities in dogs. Other: I am a nationally registered paramedic with 17 years experience in caring for humans in emergencies

What a huge relief to have somebody who is so good with our doggos! Vanessa was very professional and got along so well with our two German shepherds! I was afraid of having a sitter for them before since they are so high energy and can be difficult sometimes. 100% would recommend and would use her services again. ?
How can I express in words how amazing Vanessa is!? She compassionately dealt with our dog who developed some serious separation anxiety during my first time away since last year. She is so caring, communicative, and really understand the needs of dogs! Whitman adored her and I am so very thankful she was here to support our family!
What a perfect solution for my little man Baxter. Vanessa was more than accommodating and extremely kind and personable. Most importantly her love for dogs is clear and allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away knowing Baxter was in good hands!

Availability
I’m currently working full-time; commuting to Harrisburg Monday-Friday. I’m available most evenings after 6pm. Weekends and major holidays without time restrictions. My schedule would work best with a set long term need for doggy care in the late evenings and/or pre-planned weekend/holiday trips.
