Veterinary/Boarding experienced and always ready for anything! -About Me- I have worked as a Veterinarian Assistant and Boarding Attendant for over 7 years and a few of those years at an emergency animal hospital. I have also worked as an Animal Care Attendant at an Animal Shelter and a zoo. I last worked at An Animal Hospital in La Quinta as a boarding manager and lead. Along with animal volunteer work on the side of course. I’ve always had a passion for working around animals of all shapes and sizes and I’ve worked with just about every breed and most species. I currently work as a veterinary technician. I strongly believe pets are more than just animals, they’re family and responsible pet care and owner communication is in my highest regards. I’m trained in pet handling/behavior and I understand/respect between people and pet. I personally have an energetic Australian Shepherd and a calm and cool Calico kitty (best of both worlds) who are both my world and do great together. They keep me going and for that I have a deep understanding of the connection between pet and pet parent. Being able to work with animals as much as possible is a blessing

My pets stay indoors with me. They are house trained and able to go about the home as they please. I do have amazing opportunities to bring in fosters or pets for re-homing which comes with needing to maintain structured separation and/or needing to gate off certain aspects of the home. I’m familiar with different personalities, bubbles, and behavior and I’m equipt to instinctively know the differences as an animal handler. I care for all pets like my own and I do encourage positive reinforcement and engage in any training opportunities that I can. My Australian shepherd is in constant training mode due to his high energy instincts so it is apart of my daily routine and training can definitely be a great add on to my services.

Working in profession veterinary settings I have been trained and have experience giving medication from pills, tabs, chews, injections (insulin, depp, cytopoint), glucose testing ect. Also with handling special needs pets mobility issues, illnesses, missing limbs, dementia, deaf, blind, incontinent(diapers), elderly ect. If you’re pet needs any medical or special needs I can always accommodate. I also simply ask for any and all info on aggressive pets for the protection of your pet and myself. I would need to know of any behavioral concerns ahead of time to appropriately accommodate. I have been trained at all facilities (medical, emergency, shelter) to handle any and all pets with -Aggression (Food, Human, Animal, territory) -Anxiety (Separation) -Fearfulness -Possession Issues -Behavioral This helps me better navigate a safer and calmer environment for your pet wether that be knowing how to navigate away from situations, other dogs or people on a walk to lesion stress or keeping a calm free demeanor in your home. Other than that I’m a well rounded reliable individual with a high sense of responsibility when it comes to my professional care and passion. Our fur babies are our family and sometimes all we have left. I’d love to meet more amazing kiddos so feel free to message anytime!
A typical day
Dog walks are always a must! I work out/hike and attend boxing classes on the side so physical activity is a breeze. And if your pup isn’t the walking type, cuddles are always guaranteed. Toys in abundance for any furry friend. I have my own vehicle that I ride around in with my own pup or fosters so I’m 100% open to traveling needs as an extra charge. Which can also include -Taking to Vet/Specialist appointments -Grooming appointments -Dog Parks -To and From destinations ** I have had my fair share of small pets and Scaley best friends so I’m open to any and all exotic. I’ve personally had rats, hamsters, birds , chinchillas, rabbits, snakes, fish, leopard geckos, iguanas, turtles but have cared for that and many more. Caring for small pets/exotics is what got me into the animal field and I’m more than happy to help with any of those needs as well

I’m usually available all day weekends and after 7pm weekdays. I work for most of the week at my Animal Hospital but I’m flexible and can make something work for you and your baby’s needs
