Hello! I am a lifetime doggie owner, and have been taking care of other people’s fur babies for many years as well. I have my own sweet girl, Poppyseed, a 16 pound poodle mix! She loves to meet other doggos and can come on walks with us (BUT only if it’s okay with your pup!) I know what it takes to care for these animals, so you can trust me that I will treat your pets as my own. I am comfortable providing all the basics your pets may need: feeding, walks, playtime in the park, or just a snuggle and scratch. I am comfortable administering medicine, dealing with animals with special diets/ health concerns. I am also more than happy to be with your kitties! I am a theatre teacher and work a few nights a week at a restaurant, so do have some flexibility in scheduling. I proudly accept people of all genders, sexual orientations, races and religions.

Vanessa was great watching my dog Peach for the weekend. Peach is an older dog so can be a little slower in doing things and Vanessa was great with her. When I returned home Peach was her normal happy self!
Vanessa took care of my house and my animals...I can recommend her without reservation. I also have known her personally for many years, and can attest to her character: Responsible, ,kind , and someone who is gentle , firm and loving with animals. Also highly intelligent. I only regret that she now lives too far away to take care of my critters!

For housesitting, I will care for your dogs per your exact instructions, but Poppy will need to come too, so meet and greets to make sure they get along are vital. This works very well with current clients, and we love having play dates!

Does your pet have any anxieties? How do they behave around other dogs: are they best kept to dogs their own size, or do the like to mix it up? How do they behave on a leash? Off a leash? Are there things that make your dog aggressive or act out?
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood or reservoir, playtime in the park, or epic couch potato-ing, whatever your doggie loves to do! We can go to a dog park as well for extra social time!

I work in a restaurant part time, so have a pretty flexible schedule, and can be available for mid-morning walks or check-ins, just give me a day or two notice!
