Pet care experience
I finished my Master in Brain & Cognitive Sciences in the UvA. This program implied two-years of tons of laboratory and academic work, which became tedious and boring for me. Because of that, I am currently looking to branch out from Academia and go back to one of my earlier favorite activities: being next to animals. I say “earlier” because while I studied my Bachelor’s program in Biology (in Mexico), I had two part-time jobs. I was head waitress of a restaurant, and I was volunteering in a dog shelter . My main motivation for doing this is because, firstly, I want to help out people in Amsterdam to give a good life and proper treatment to their best friends. Pets bring the people around them countless joys and reasons for inspiration, and it is only fair that we -as a society- give something back and keep them as happy as possible. I know firsthand that dogs appreciate such affection to an unparalleled extent, and providing it to some degree is incredibly fulfilling.

Alfie had a great time with Vanessa. She was attentive and good level of communication
Vanessa was excellent and took great care of Koki! She always keot us updated and was responsive when we really just had to check in. Koki has stayed with Vanessa three or so times now and now she is just as excited to see Vanessa as she is to see us when we return! It is such a relief to know our pup is with a good caretaker when we need to travel without her.
Vanessa was a wonderful dog sitter and looked after our dog for 2 nights. She was very reliable, took great care of my dog and regularly updated my dog's wellbeing. I had a very good feeling and my dog was doing great when I picked her up. I can recommend Vanessa to everyone and I look forward to the next walks she spends with my dog! :-)

Availability
I work from home, so for me it’s also a benefit to take pauses and go out. I am as active as the doggie requieres. If your pet has low requirements of activation, then a lot of snuggles will be provided. If your dog is active I go for runs and long walks with them
