I have owned dogs my entire life. My most recent dog was a German shepherd mix that lived over 16 years. Now I have another 10month old German shepherd puppy. With all the care, time and love you put into your pet they can definitely outlive their average age. I'm glad to take dogs for short walks in the neighborhood or even pick them up to go out on the trails for longer rides. Hey, that'll even include a car ride! Oh and on hot days, water for them to drink will be definitely available to keep them hydrated. Also can't leave out treats for doing so good on walks. Furbabies are our own kids. Dogs of all sizes need their exercise, so walking the pups allows me to get my steps in also!

I definitely recommend Valynn for any dog sitting needs you have! I had never used Rover before, so I was a bit nervous. But Valynn did an amazing job with my pup & sent me photos and videos throughout the weekend. I knew Duke was in good hands!!
Valynn was great! We left our two dogs with her very last minute for a weekend getaway and she was awesome! She kept us updated the whole time and sent us pictures! Definitely recommend her!

Valynn was an all star of a pet sitter! She was incredibly helpful and flexible when it came to pick up and drop off times. When I dropped my pup off, I was more than confident that my Ava was in good hands. During my trip, I got photos of all the fun my girl was having, and that she was being treated like family! I do not have fenced in yard but will get in 1-2 walks daily for their exercise. I have space for their kennel if you bring one with if that's part of their routine. I as well have a German shepherd puppy to give them added attention!

A typical day
I love to see how well the dogs play together or just by themselves. If they just want to sleep all day that's OK too. They're always hungry so I'll feed them according to instructions given along with sneak in some treats. Potty breaks as needed and go on walks and plenty of inside toys to keep them occupied too!

I do work fulltime M-F as many of us do. But as long as your dog is accustomed to your routine like that, then they'll do well with my schedule and the care thrill receive!!
