HEALTHY HOME AVAILABLE WEEKENDS

Pet care experience

**I will be wearing a mask to ALL Meet & Greet's, Drop off's, and Pick up's. I ask that you do the same in my efforts to keep everyone safe and healthy during these times. I also ask that if at all possible, you wash, clean, or sanitize items you send with your dog or cat during their stay. This isn't a deal breaker, but I would highly appreciate it with the amount of people and animals I come in contact with while working with this awesome company that I love so much! Thank you:)** My first memory of a dog was finding our beloved Benjamin, alone and curled up in a tight ball outside a hospital. My family took him in and nursed him to health, and that taught experience me so much about compassion and responsibility. Growing up in a big family, we went on to adopt many more pets, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and bunnies. I have seen it all when it comes to animals and can promise you that no pet is too challenging for me to provide beyond excellent care! As a graduate of Central Washington University, I have been entrusted to care for my family and friends’ animals, and now have the time to pet sit in a professional capacity as well. I understand that owning pets is like having a child—a huge responsibility that shouldn’t be taken lightly and I treat it as such! As a person I am responsible, passionate and motivated, three traits that you need as an excellent pet-sitter. My job is to provide the best experience I can for you and your pup, and I will do whatever it takes to ensure that happens. My welcoming and warm personality invites animals to open up to me and after learning their likes and dislikes, I create a customized care plan that keeps them busy, entertained and feeling loved and safe. I make it a priority to respond to customer requests within the hour, use proper terminology and communicate clearly when speaking with my clients. I keep my calendar updated and provide photo and video updates in real time so you know exactly what your pup is up to when in my care! Did I mention my weekends are completely free? I’m home on the weekends full time! Which means my calendar is flexible and ready to shape to your needs!

Valerie was fantastic. She gave me picture and text updates on how my girl was going. I will definitely be rebooking with her if I need another sitter. Thank you Valerie!

Valerie was great! This was our first time leaving Bandit with someone outside the family and we were definitely nervous. Valerie eased our nerves with a meet and greet ahead of Bandit’s stay and updated us regularly throughout his stay with photos and videos. Bandit is a quirky Shiba and Valerie handled him so well. Would definitely recommend and book with Valerie again!

My dog can be a handful so I have a hard time leaving my dog with anyone, but Valerie took such great care of her while I was away. I was given regular updates on how my dog was acting, eating, and playing. Valerie was very professional and I am so grateful my dog was taken care of so well! Thank you again!

There are very few people i trust with my babies, and Valerie is one of them. I knew my huskies could be a handful, but Valerie was confident and capable of not only meeting their needs, but also communicating with me on a daily basis and being flexible with pick up times. I felt at peace knowing my dogs were in good hands. I will keep booking with her as long as she will have us :)

Safety, trust & environment

In my home I only except dogs or cats that do well with others. This is to ensure the safety of everyone and all animals in my care. I make sure to set up meet and greets prior to stays to make sure the pups will be a good fit. I have two loving pups who love to play and snuggle. Both do well with both cats and dogs and I have no doubt your furr ball would make a great fit! You can count on me to care for your baby just as it was my own. Feedings, potty breaks, play time, walks, naps, you name it, I can do it!

Information Valerie T. would like to know about your pet

- Is your dog potty trained? If YES, I can provide consistent potty breaks every 2-4 hours. If NO, please let me know so I can prepare for potty breaks every 2 hours or less, and please provide me with sufficient cleaning supplies (Resolve, baking soda/vinegar, or paper towels, etc.). I have carpet in areas of my home and do my absolute best to keep it clean in-between sittings. - Is your dog up to date on all their vaccines, flea, and tick treatments? if YES, Great! We're all set:) If NO, please let me know and try your very best to have those taken care of prior to the sitting. I realize it isn't always easy to schedule a last minute appointment, but it's important that I keep myself, other humans, and pups around me, safe and healthy during each stay and would prefer you have this done. - Is your dog leash aggressive/reactive? If YES, please let me know and provide me with more details and information on how you would like me to handle a situation if it were to arise. I am comfortable handling dogs with this behavior and worked with many before. If NO, Are you comfortable with off leash dog parks? Fenced or unfenced? Provide me with details or things you'd like me to know about your pup in a high volume dog setting or if you'd prefer I take them on walks or out to do alternative activities. - Does your dog experience any separation anxiety? If YES, please provide me with more details. I want to make sure each pup is taken care of and feels comfortable in my home. Mention things like; needs extra cuddles/love, uses a special blanket or toy, provide a personal t-shirt of yours, sensitive to loud noises, give treats, specific medications or supplements, doesn't eat for the first day/night, may have diarrhea, etc. If NO, What does your pup love most? How can I make this stay one of your best experiences!?:) - What to bring during their stay? Food & Water Bowls Food (Dry &/or Wet) Toys Collar, Leash, or Harness Poop Bags Potty Pads (if needed) Treats Medication (if needed) Supplements (if needed) Crate, Kennel, or Baby Gate (if needed) A written or typed list of instructions, reminders, or "need to knows" about your pup. *Basically, anything they might want or need during their stay:) - Other Questions: Favorite activity or toy? Daily routine? Eating Habits or Time Frames? Allowed on Furniture? How are they around other people or kids? How are they around other animals? Dogs, Cats, Birds, Squirrels? Any special quirks?:)

A typical day

I like to schedule meet and greets to first get a sense from you what your pup likes to do. We can stick to your neighborhood, or I’m happy to venture out to the park and trails close to my home. I only take my clients’ dogs to places that are safe and pet-friendly so you never have to worry about where we go. My home is located near lots of nearby parks that provide huge amounts of space that dogs and cats love to explore! With lots of space, a small patio and a large bed and couch, there is always a comfortable, relaxing space to lounge around in. My neighborhood has beautiful walks and plenty of parks close by. Send me a message, I look forward to meeting you!
