I've always loved dogs (all animals really) & have been around them most of my life. Our pup's name is Onyx. He's a two year old Pit/lab mix and is a big goofball!! We rescued him from the Cleveland Animal Shelter about 2 years ago. We weren't even planning on taking a pup home that day (that's how it always goes though, right!?) It's funny how it all worked out because he was the one I wanted but wasn't available. He was picked up with his mom & 2 siblings and was 3 days away from being available for adoption. Well as we were getting ready to leave, this lady came in and happened to be his owner. Turns out her husband let all the dogs loose and told her they couldn't come back ? We wanted to take all of them but just couldn't do it. So she paid for him to be released and she gave him to us. He's been my best friend ever since. He's a big blockhead & a chronic licker, but I wouldn't change it for the world. We walk daily, play catch & love to take naps together. My best friend has a miniature pincher named Jazzy & they are the best of friends. I dog sit for her whenever she goes out of town & absolutely love it. I wanted to volunteer at our local shelter, but my boyfriend would kill me because I'd end up bringing all the dogs home!! Haha. So I figured maybe this would help cure my puppy fever. And also maybe give Onyx a friend to play with here and there. We also have 3 cats, Tebow (he's our protector) Tiger (he only loves me & my daughters. He doesn't really care for Onyx or my boyfriend Paul) and Tarzan, he's our shy, skittish, yet loving kitty. We also have a hamster named Smores, a leopard gecko named Bumble Bee & two beta fish. Haha. We have a small zoo in our home.
