Hi! I’m Valerie. I’m an Illustration student that just graduated fromm DCAD in Wilmington and will be transferring to UARTS in Philadelphia in the fall. In addition to dog walking and pet sitting, I also offer pet portrait commissions! I have been walking dogs and pet sitting through Rover and Wag since June 2017. I’ve had dogs my whole life, and have loved animals since birth. I promise you, I’ll love your dog as much as I love my own!! I don’t currently have another job so I’m almost always available. I am very flexible and can provide a number of services for your dog - watch, walk, wash, you name it - whenever you'd like me to do it. I'm a small person but I have more experience with large and XL breeds than any other size - even though I love my tiny clients just as much!! I'm also very cat and critter friendly, so if you need someone to take care of any other pets too I'm your gal. If you have any questions about me or how I work please don’t hesitate to message me!

Valerie has been taking care of my GSD a couple times a week for over a year and this review is long overdue. She is responsive, dependable, diligently sends me photos and updates, and has tremendous energy and enthusiasm. Caring for dogs is her calling and Duncan and I benefit from it every week. This was my first time using rover so I was a little nervous, but Val changed my mind completely! Val took great care of my home and animals while I was away. She sent daily updates with pictures and all three of my guys seemed to be quite happy in her care! My dog is very needy and relies on having someone with him nearly 24/7, and Val was kind enough to spend as much of her time with him as possible outside of her scheduled walks.
I have known Valerie her whole life and I'm happy to say she is a wonderful young lady who has always had a house full of animals who she has loved and cared for but I think cats second & dogs first are her favorite. It is such a joy to see her inter act with my dog and my neighbors dogs and I know anyone who hires her will be extremely safe & satisfied with her love of animals and the excellent care she will give, feeding, walking, playing, and hugging is her specialty and they love her.
