Owning my own businesses and working from home allows me great flexibility. Hi, I’m Valerie P., a dog lover for all of my life. Growing up my best childhood friend was my white German Shepherd “Shep” who did everything with me. I learned, at a very young age, responsibilities of caring for a dog and relating to the great deal of behavior patterns of dogs. This carried over into adulthood when I began caring for my training clients dogs when they would travel. Routinely it required staying in their home for the comfort of their dog. It later grew into dogs coming to my home once I moved into a great home with a large fenced yard. In that time after watching dear “Sparky” way back when, Donna, Sparky’s Mom, alerted me to a “leftover” in a litter of her dogs sibling. Oh my goodness I could have a dog just like Sparky (yellow Labrador) I absolutely knew this was to be my dog and called the breeder to say I’m coming to “take a look”. Sure just a look ? Logan, a yellow lab was my absolute joy and light of my life for 14 years. When he passed, in order to ease my heartache, my friend recommended becoming a volunteer in the Puppies Behind Bars Program. This program works to socialize and reinforce training with dogs being raised by prisoners as service dogs for explosive detection or assistance dogs for veterans with PTSD. I am very proud to be a volunteer and find it a highly rewarding experience knowing the PBB organization is a great cause. It’s wonderful to see them graduate and become working dogs and follow their ongoing experience once placed. This past year in May of 2017, as fate would have it, grateful to have been found by my precious, Luna was a foster puppy a friend took in rescued in Puerto Rico by The Sato Project. Winning my heart in no time at all and finding again a tremendous cause to support and represent I adopted Luna. The absolute joy and happiness this little Sato brings is beyond measure. My passion for dogs is ever increasing with each new one I meet and care for. It’s my nature and you can count on a heart of love, passion and lifetime of experience that I bring to all visits, waking, watching, boarding, day care and feeding with an abundance of sincere attention administered with reliability.
